Comfort Inn & Suites Dayton North

Overall, we had a comfortable, clean room, helpful staff and daily breakfast. Sometimes the staff were not easily reachable - the notification system at the desk didn't work well. The coffee in the room and at breakfast fast was slightly worse than the usual hotel coffee.

My stay a Comforter Inn Suites was very pleasant. The property was very clean.

The staff was very friendly and personable she always smiled and said hello whenever I saw her. The hotel smelled wonderful and was very clean.

Late check out until noon was granted when asked, thank you! Staff was excellent and friendly! Location was great!

Had no issues with my two night stay. Room was clean.everything worked.breakfast was hot. Pool and Jacuzzi was good. Staff was friendly and prompt. I would definitely stay there again.

Nothing! They double charged my card and refused to fix it. That completely ruined my trip to see my grandson graduate high school. I didn’t even have money to eat! Everything

Our room was hot! 77 degrees with 3 of us there.. went to concierge to see if they can move us to another room but they were sold out and said the maintenance could not work on it until probably the next day.. so we slept in a very hot room. It was cooler in the hallway than in our room. Next, the shower had very low water pressure and we were given towels with black stains on them. Our conditioner and body was were not filled up The bed sheets and comforter had stains on it. Im afraid our overall experience was not good. I would not recommend this hotel with plenty of other hotels to choose from in the area.

The room was clean, organized, if not well stocked. The pool was okay, the whirlpool was fabulous. The continental breakfast and Friday morning staff were wonderful. continued from didnt you like and she huffed about having to grab them stuff for me. I don't remember if I had asked for two pillows yet. She cam back out with the sheets and two towels (still one short for our family) and I apologized again for and asked for the blanket, and if i could please have a couple of pillows ( i thought i had already asked, but cant remember where in the conversation i did.) and she rolled her eyes at me and went back to grab the blanket. When she came back out sans pillows, i apologized again and asked about the pillows and she was very angry and short with me and said that they had none. I thanked her for her time and went back upstairs, more upset and frustrated. I do understand bad days, Ive worked in retails and as a CNA. I tried to be kind and apologetic, but as stated was there because my father is going in for open heart surgery. I didnt need to feel awful for trying to make my three kids and myself comfortable. Outside of this person, every other staff member was pleasant and kind. Upon arrival (5:30pm) the person at the desk was incredibly unpleasant. Her name was Jayvin(sp) I greeted her, and was met with an eye roll after having waited a minute with my three kids. I already had my id, card I paid with, and reservation paperwork out and on the counter and she asked for it twice, so i took it off of the counter and handed it to her. I figured she was having a bad moment and asked what time breakfast was and she said 6-9am. I asked about the pool, and she said it was closed, then she said it was open from 8-9 and i asked for clarification if it was 8am to 9pm and she said yes. i chalked it up to needing a moment and took my kids to get out stuff with the rolling rack and went up to our room. I realized that the pull out bed wasn't set with sheets or blankets, that there werent enough pillows (5 for 4 people, my kids brought extra pillows, to avoid using more from the hotel, but 1 or 2 more would have been helpful ( I have spinal issues and in the rush to get to Ohio from Illinois before my father went in for open heart surgery, i forgot my extra pillows to support my spinal damage. I also realized there was only 1 towel and we had four people. Honestly, not the biggest of deals, just decided to ask at the front desk since I needed stuff anyway. We went down with plans to take the roller thing down (some kind soul had already done it for us) and ask for what was needed. I went to the desk and apologized for being a pain and interupting her show (she was watching something on the lap top) and just mentioned that the pull out wasnt made and she said we dont do that. I said i understand, but with four of us, could i please have some sheets and a blanket and that I also needed towels. She told me to grab them from the pool (my kids were in swimsuits) and I said, im sorry again but i meant for the hotel room since we only had the one.

Room was clean. Staff hard to fine. Breakfast good. Had problem with the reservation.

The bed was made! It smelled of sewage from other rooms and it permeated through the whole room. By midnight it was unbearable and we left the fan on all night and put a towel by the door so the smell would stay.

The staff was friendly. The entire facility is very clean. The hot tub didn't function well. The mattress was like sleeping on bricks covered by a sheet.

We did get into the hot tub and the bottom was rough to walk on, so be cautious in that regard. There was only 2 towels for the 3 of us left on the shelf. We were in room 103 and the heating/cooling unit was hard to use. The lights that would show the mode and temperature were burnt out so we pushed buttons till we felt warm or cool air. One day of our stay was chilly and we used the heat but couldn't regulate it so we woke up in the middle of the night very hot. The next day it was the complete opposite and we woke up so cold. In the shower there was a handle to turn on and then it turned to the left to go from cold to hot. The handle was very loose and would only stand straight up, which was too cold, or slide on it's own to straight down which was scary hot. I managed to hold the handle in position with one hand and then wash my hair and body with the other hand. There were 3 of us staying and we had to share one key card. And on the last day the keycard stopped working so we had to receive help from the cleaning staff to let us back into our room. The breakfast was ok. The dining room was clean and well maintained. I chose this hotel based on the brand because I'd stayed in the same hotels in Florence KY and Huron OH and had great stays in the Comfort Inns in those cities. This location did not live up to those two locations.
