Quality Inn Dayton North - Vandalia

Got a two night room through Expedia and had something come up the first night so we couldn’t check in. Tried to check in the next day but had to pay for another entirely separate room for one night because the reservation didn’t stand but I still had to pay for both nights. The room I paid for separate from this reservation had no refrigerator at all, the ice machine in the hotel did not work, the pool was too cold to even swim laps in, and the hot tub was out of order and I wasn’t told until I asked them after checking in. Will not stay here again.

This is very ran down facility. You can tell they’ve tried to update it but it’s just nasty.

Took 4 rooms before we got a good one. The pool was so cold you couldnt get in. The laundry was out of order.

the front entrance and the outside of the building was appalling it needs a lot of attention it cheapens the hotel. I would still stay here again they just need a little bit more attention to detail with the dead planters and plants in the window the Continental not so great but it was kept up well. all in all it was a good stay and I will be back

on the other hand Jennifer and Daniel we're both great employees great with the customers engaging and treated every person through the door and that I witnessed as a welcome guest and I wanted to guess. always good morning good evening anyone called you by name I like that. the property was ordered and the room showed somewhere in terror but it was very clean it's a shame the hot tub hasn't worked in 2 years from when I understand. they should just close it totally! Continental not all that great it could be upgraded but it was fresh clean and well kept up. the cleanliness of the room for amazing for such an older property. to me upon first entering the hotel ground I was shocked on how disarray it was old planners tipped over stuff weeds not very good for suppression you walk in a double entrance and you see a snow shovel Christmas though old planters with dead plants in the out-of-date magazine not the greatest first impression! the plants continued as you look into the building in the window sills it just cheapened the property the lobby could use some atten.

As soon as we walked in it automatically had the strongest stench of marijuana and I was very confused with it being a non smoking facility. The room we had smelled of mold, my kids instantly started coughing when we got in and they laid down. The tv didn’t work, the toilet wouldn’t flush. When I went back to the front desk another customer had just gotten moved to a new room bc of the smell and bc her tv wasn’t working either. The front desk lady was very nice about everything but they need to have a maintenance person on site. They need to do more deep cleaning and strongly enforce the non smoking policy. There were a group of guys at the back entrance smoking marijuana and just chit chatting. Was not worth $175 that I ended up getting issued a refund for and searched for another hotel.

I just checked and it appears they never refunded my deposit and it’s been a week

Room wasn’t that clean, had hair in the bathroom and piece on the bed from previous users, toilet as well. The curtains wasn’t clean either had stains as well as the pillow. Staff was very nice, parking was fine, laundry was out of order down stairs if wanted to wash clothes. Not enough breakfast items.

No good

The room stank like cigarettes and body odor. There was graffiti carved in the bathroom walls. The ‘queen’ sized beds we paid for were actually full. There were multiple sticky substances ground into the carpet. Our door lock also didn’t work, and could only lock from the inside, so any time we left for extended periods of time we had to take all our belongings with us.

Didn’t get my $100 deposit back and had to go though corporate

This hotel was filthy! Stains on the bedding, walls, furniture and floors. The refrigerator was missing and microwave didn’t work. The pillows were so old and nasty they were yellow instead of white. The hot tub was broken. Breakfast wasn’t edible. Staff did not care about any of these issues. I thought I was in the ghetto it was so bad! Never ever would I recommend this hotel! Terrible!

The entire building is gross. Wreaks like smoke. The bathroom had broken tiles, broken toilet, filthy tub- the list could go on.

Lasts it is wild to me that they charge a refundable $100 deposit for each stay. Ironic that you think I will damage something when the room was knowingly have falling apart and dirty before I even entered the city. Highly misrepresented on this site, glad I took videos and photos so hopefully Expedia can give you a transparent look at what you will get at this hotel.

Pool closed no hottub airconditoner super loud.

The halls were a mess. I honestly don’t know why this chain is still listed on Hotels.com.

They did not change bed sheets for next customer, no shampoo in bathroom ( last customer’s shampoo was there) and remote TV did not work at all.
