Holiday Inn Express Durham by IHG

During my stay the common areas did not have working ac. So I limited my time in those areas and retreated to my room. Breakfast was adequate. My room was clean and the staff were pleasant.

Very welcoming. Very clean. I really enjoyed cooling offline the pool.

The A/C on the first floor was out making it miserable in the lobby and eating area. The housekeeping staff tried to enter our room at 9:30 am by actually opening the door, then came back 30 minutes later and tried again. The buffet was terrible and most of the food was gone but breakfast was still going on for another hour. The a/c in our room did not work very well. It was not my best hotel experience. But our room was clean, the best were comfy and the pool was nice

Our room was well taken care of and we had plenty of space for our stay. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated that we were not disturbed by loud noises. Suggestion: The two flower urns by the front entrance had plastic flowers rather than live plants. We understand that North Carolina presently has drought conditions, but the plastic plants do look a bit tacky.

It was a nice experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of my room!!! The lobby air conditioning could use some fine tuning but everything else was great! We would definitely stay here again.

It was okay. Check in took quite a long time, the elevator broke during the stay while someone was inside, and there was hair in the bathroom and on the bed cover. Not the best.

Air conditioning is bad air conditioning in there lobby is not working and its 101 degrees outside. So its bad entrance not well maintained. For there price it’s not worth it. Their breakfast is ok. Typic

This was a horrible experience for us. The heat was terrible in the lobby. We had a medical emergency due to the heat and had to leave by ambulance. We were told not to return after we left the hospital. We had already paid a higher price for this hotel stay for one night. Our deposit that we were quoted by phone doubled when we arrived. It was a nightmare.

Room was fine. Breakfast was empty. No one around to refresh food. I was not there at the last minute so I was confused why the trays sat empty for so long. I find it amusing that the picture I was shown when I decided to fill this out was one of the breakfast buffet complete with full trays of omelets...

Location to venue we were visiting Daughter got stuck in the bathroom several times. Staff could not get the door open. My daughter had to shake it like crazy and was claustrophobic trying to get out. There was no key present on site to open the door. Staff tried a box cutter of all things. Did not work. It was a nightmare.

Convenient location close to DPAC. Older hotel. 1 elevator that was very slow. Staff very nice. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing.

The staff were very friendly. From the moment of arrival I was greeted with a smile.The room was clean and cool which was great since it felt like a heat wave was outside. Overall would stay again especially since it’s right by the highway making it easy to come and go. Will say though you can’t hear the cars passing by the only problem was you gotta take a little drive to get some food or even get to a store.
