Baymont by Wyndham Flagstaff

This seems like a family run hotel, and like most family run hotels some things are well maintained and well done, other things are not.

Nothing fancy. Will say upon check in I waited for 15 minutes while the front desk clerk was on the phone; she didn’t even try to make eye contact or acknowledge me. Room keys were deactivated after one night although I was there for 3. For three nights, the only sign of housekeeping was that half of our towels were removed while we were out, but the trash wasn’t emptied once, nor were the beds made, and they only removed the bath mat and two of 4 used towels. The room was clean and safe, but loud. The AC worked really well but was LOUD.

Pool area was in disrepair.

The property was not well maintained and our room had dirty walls. The beds were decently comfortable and the bathroom was fine. However, I expect more for my money.

Loud noise from kids running and yelling in hallways. Not quite, had to sleep.

I should have read the google reviews instead of relying on the reviews here, the pictures are incredibly deceiving and must have been taken several years ago. To start with the young lady that checked us in was rude and really should not be in customer service. The grounds, common areas, and pool area are all in need of maintenance, repairs and cleaning. Very dirty and run down. It was the same with our room. Everything was in pretty rough condition. Giant cracks in the shower, and very grimy. Dirty floors and surfaces. Tv barely worked and was tiny. Furniture needs replacing. The linens were stained. On the plus side- I’m fairly certain that the mattresses were new, at least on our side of the hotel. However the old mattresses were piled up on the patio areas. I didn’t give them a one star review( I was very tempted) because there were some redemptive elements. We had a two day stay and I forgot to put the do not disturb sign on the door, when we left. I didn’t want maid service. They came in made the beds, gave us more towels and didn’t disturb any of our belongings. They folded up our personal blankets and it was nice to come back to that. I would also like to say that despite my negative review- I get it and understand why it was this way. I’ve worked for Wyndham and in the hospitality industry for a long time. This place is practically sold out most of the time. It’s really hard to properly clean and maintain a property in four hours every day.

While the property is a bit run down, it was very clean and had some of the nicest staff I have ever experienced. Would stay again!

Everything about my stay was really nice except the young girl that checked me in on the evening of June 17th. She had a really bad attitude and made it feel like it was an annoyance to check me in. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

Access to Hotel from main road problematic especially for two way traffic; handicap rail in shower nearly fell off; hot breakfast needs to be a bit more desirable. Staff friendly.

Stay was great. Bathroom needs a ventilation system room Gets muggy. Breakfast was good and area is convenient. Staff were very helpful.

No ventilation in bathroom. Room got muggy after a while. Front desk staff were prompt getting towel for us at pool. Hot tub needs a remodel. Breakfast was pretty good. Pancake and waffle machines were a hit with the kiddos. Coffee was great and area was clean. Walking distance to gas stations and restaurants was convenient.

Hot tub is nice and hot. Jets are minimal. Pool comfortable. Hot Breakfast and muffins. Not a special occasion location but for a traveler that needs to have a hot soak or a few laps in the pool it’s All good!
