Hotel Otto

Pool area was cute and we enjoyed lounging before we went out. Rooms were well appointed and bed was super comfortable.

Recommend. Tucked away but only a short drive to everything. Attached restaurant and speakeasy within walking distance.

Interesting concept. We really loved being there. The bar in the room was unexpected and really great. Complimentary drinks for the win.

I recently stayed at Hotel Otto, which is a very interesting "micro-resort" concept using converted shipping containers. It has a great urban energy and is in a fantastic location right near the Trinity River walking paths. Being pet-friendly was a huge plus for enjoying the trails, and the ample parking made arrival very easy. The food was definitely the highlight of the stay—everything we tried was awesome. I did find that the urban setting and the container design meant the roadway noise was quite noticeable. I personally prefer a bit more quiet for a night's rest, but I found that using a fan noise app on my phone was a helpful workaround to drown out the traffic. While I’m glad I experienced the unique design and the great restaurant, I realized that I tend to prefer a more traditional hotel setup for comfort. It’s a cool spot for a visit, especially if you love being near the river trails and the city vibe!

The first night of my stay, there were other guests and several cars in the parking lot. The second night, when I returned to the hotel around 11 pm after a work event, mine was the only car in the parking lot. When I got to the gate, the auto lock had not engaged. It was a little creepy knowing I was the only person on the property. I would recommend Hotel Otto for a weekend getaway with a partner, or a great place for a group of friends to meet up, but I would not stay there again alone.

Room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Property was well maintained and cute. Restaurant was delicious. Only negative thing I can say was the bed was extremely uncomfortable for 2 people.

Staff was great. Rooms small as advertised but completely decked out with little good stuff. Love the setup and privacy of being in your own pod.

The unit was so cute and clean, the bed was so comfortable especially after a 10 hour drive. The start was so friendly. The ambience and vibe was super chill. Cute outside area for playing games and pool area fun. Rooftop on unit was lovely. 10/10 recommend!

Tenants next door in container 4 were extremely loud until midnight when another neighbor intervened.

Rooms wasn’t cleaned fully and there was old moldy drinks up on patio deck. We don’t have any prosecco to make our welcome drink. Otherwise a great comfortable bed and experience.

I had a great overnight stay at Hotel Otto. The people working there couldnt have been more pleasant and kind. This is a very unique hotel setup which was so fun. This is definately a hidden gem in the city! The bungalows are very intimate and private with a great patio on the roof of each one. Pool and outdoor area is perfect for a romantic getaway. Not for the claustriphobic for sure. Only drawback was the water pressure in the shower. We will definately be coming back!
