Red Roof Inn Columbus - Grove City

Great staff

The room was fine you could just tell someone had smoked in it, we asked for a non smoking room. The floor was so dirty that our socks turned black on the bottom. There was some questionable things on the bathroom floor and at the base of the toilet. They were pretty busy from the looks of the parking lot, which had people drinking outside in said parking lot, which is fine since they didn’t get loud. And where we had to park there was a left over food container with what looked like chips and salsa sitting there when we arrived and checked out. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t seem to work well, and if you went in to the bathroom and shut the door it was a built in sauna. The person who checked us in though was very nice though. We just needed a place for the night and it did the job.

Booked online. Got to the property at midnight and tired. Tv wouldn’t work, drawers to dresser obviously broken and crooked. Bed was lopsided and almost flipped when the other person got up. Floors were filthy. No do not disturb sign. Didn’t shower bc shower looked gross. Pulled dresser out to try to fix tv and that was a mistake bc it was super dirty. Chairs were absolutely gross. Holes in the wall from previously mounted tv. Outside, cig butts and bottle caps everywhere. Landscaping unkempt. I should have asked for refund and left but being tired I stayed. Property is in terrible condition and I do not recommend. I should have at least ask for a discount but being no confrontational I did not.

No breakfast not even rolls or toast. No soap on sink. No bath mat. Low rating compared to similar chains.

The room was clean and had plenty of space lots of space for parking and once you close your door no outside noise could be heard that was real nice

Our room smelled like urine the minute we walked in. Our fridge didn’t work, our TV didn’t work, there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign, and after 10pm on Saturday night, the staff was trying to pry open the door to the room next to us with a crowbar and rubber mallet. We left as soon as we were able. Two females traveling together should be treated much better.

Easy to find - not the nicest place ever but worked for our 1 night stay during our travel.

This place is cheap but dirty. People in and out slamming doors at all hours if the night.

Cleanliness, maintenance and overall condition need significant improvement.

I couldn’t recommend this hotel, there was garbage on the hallways . The unit was in disrepair . Smelled ..just terrible

The room was clean. Owner is a pleasure to deal with, really nice man. He maintains the property very well.

This is a 5-star 3-star hotel located in the same location as hotels with higher ratings. Location is excellent. Hotel is professionally managed. A great deal. Great parking and great location.

Pet friendly. Clean and great pool and outside areas as well as comfortable beds and good size rooms. Price was awesome ?

The first room they put me in wreaked of smoke so badly that I couldn’t stay in it, the stairs were awful, the floors were falling apart in the first room, the second room didn’t have a top lock, the paint was peeling off off of every surface, the handles on drawers were literally rusty, the sheets and smudges snd cigarette burns in them, the microwave and frig were rusted, and disgusting, the walls were scribbled on. Outside my door were a bunch of seedy looking guys smoking and talking loudly hanging over the railings. I literally put furniture up s as gainer my door, slept with the lights on and a knife next to my bed. If I hadn’t been so exhausted I would have left. I have stayed at Red Roofs before and they were nothing like this. I wonder when the last time was that this place was inspected. Awful…..

Again I get put in room where shower handle goes round and around not secured in wall mattresses are wore out feel springs in your back shower handle not secured in wall need to upgrade mattresses ac wouldn't cool the room don't think I will stay again gonna find another hotel these owners are cheap charge high rates give you crap room

The floor in our room was hooved-up. We were never able to figure out how to get any channel on the TV.

Our stay was alright. We had a few issues with door keycards not working, but everything in the rooms was fine and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was good and there was ample free parking.
