Candlewood Suites Indianapolis Northwest by IHG

Room was clean and spacious, very comfortable. Loved the smell of the new carpet in the hallways and stairwells! One or two things could use an adjustment: a lightswitch in the bathroom seemed to control nothing (fan disconnected or broken?), and I had a hard time getting the water hot enough in the shower (though it was OK eventually). Adequate parking even during a busy weekend — Memorial Day AND the Indy 500!

We booked through hotels.com and arrived at property 30 mins later and they cancelled our reservation. They said they had called us but never did. They never emailed the cancellation either. They did, however, charge us. It's been a week now and neither hotels com or the hotel have refunded us.

Room was still dirty. Mostly the kitchen counter and other counters. I was in a non smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes the whole time. Couldn’t air out because the bathroom fan wasn’t working. All in all what a waste of money. Most hotels are, but this one takes the cake.

They are in the middle of renovations, so things weren't in the best condition, but the rooms were spacious and had all the amenities that we needed.

The hotel is currently under renovation so cleanliness was an issue. Elevator was inoperable & our room was on the 2nd floor so we had to drag suitcases up & down stairs, but we were never notified ahead of time. When we got to our room after check-in, the door was open with the dishwasher running and all drawers open, which we found odd. Turns out housekeeping was waiting for a supervisor to inspect the room. Once inside the room, we found ants, the bathroom fan did not work, the bathroom did not have a garbage can, and our TV had no signal for an entire day. The silver lining is that the staff was friendly, helpful, & accommodating when our issues were raised, although I would not recommend this hotel at a minimum until renovations are complete.

My stay was absolutely horrific. Found two bed bugs in our room. Asked for a different room and could only provide us with a single bed room to accommodate, which we needed a double bed. Whole hotel is under remodel. Elevator doesn’t work, light fixtures in hallways are open and wires exposed to children and teens. Worst hotel experience in my life we had to leave and stay somewhere else. Attempted to get refund and personnel at desk apparently doesn’t know how either.

The staff were amazing and my room was beyond my expectations

In the next room, i could not get the AC/Heat to come on at all, even though the display read "On." I did not want to change rooms again, so I opened the window, which worked well enough.

Nothing Hotel staff less than helpful. Room hallways poorly lit. No hairdryer in room despite advertising. Hotel staff not helpful at all, and I ended up having to buy and have a hairdryer delivered to use. Overpriced for what you get. Hotel is dated. Independently owned. Notes about security at front desk. We had no issues with our car or belongings but I didn’t sleep well thinking about it. Air conditioning in room loud and couldn’t figure out how to regulate it. Battery on thermostat read low. Not worth the money. Rating would be 2.5 stars

The room was spacious and clean. There was some trash in our bathroom trashcan when we got there, but otherwise, everything was good. The staff was pleasant.
