Tru by Hilton Louisville East

Walked into the room and there was a foul odor. We reported it to the desk and they quickly moved us to a different room and helped us with the move. After that it was a very pleasant stay.

I think the person who checked us in was ready to go because I saw him leave right after. He forgot the Hilton Honors member perks, but not a super big deal. The only problem we had with the room was the clicking noise that came after every channel change on the TV. I've never EVER experienced anything like that. Very bizarre.

Nothing bad to say about this location it got the job done

When we went to check-in, I was never greeted and had to ask the guy behind the counter if he worked there because he was leaning back and looking at his phone. We were then told the room may not be cleaned yet and we had to wait to find out. We found out after a few minutes that it was ready after all. The guy was nice and polite but totally not interested in being there. The lobby had a pool table and it was full of kids hanging out and playing pool and it was still like that when we returned to the hotel at 11:30 at night. It’s great to have a space for kids but the hotel should be marketed towards families and not business or adult only travelers. Also, the coffee station at the hotel never looked maintained. Plus I went to the breakfast buffet first thing in the morning and the food looked and tasted like it was pulled out from the day before. It was not fresh at all. The location was okay and the outside looked decently maintained but the rest of the experience was a big disappointment. I will pass on staying at a Tru hotel next time I travel due to this experience.

Wallpaper peeling, shower door didn't close properly, but the worst thing was the A/C. Very loud and cycled on and off all night, waking me up everytime it cycled on. Bed was comfortable, TV was nice, room was attractive & modern, and bathroom was very nice. Price was reasonable.

We only stayed one night, but it was a good value. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

The location was convenient for the reason of my visit. My sheets weren’t clean and when I notified the front desk I was told housekeeping was gone for the day. This was before 4pm on May 8th. The employee did go and leave sheets on the bed. The next day I had the same request and was told that housekeeping was very busy. I went back up to the floor and approached housekeeping myself. I was given a confused and sad look. I again was given sheets to change the bedding myself. This was my first and last time staying at a Tru by Hilton property.

Nothing really, but I'd recommend more luggage moving carts.

The property was so nice and the breakfast was delicious. We went for Derby week and everything was great. They had a reception on Thursday with mint juleps and even an ornament for a keepsake. It couldn’t have been better.

Had everything we needed Was way too expensive for what you get due to the derby weekend the prizes were hiked up.

Great location for attending the Derby. Hotel went above and beyond. Complimentary mint Julips one night and large charcuterie board in lobby for the Derby. It was a great touch. Manager and her husband were a pleasure to talk to you as well. Hotel was clean and perfect for a 3 night stay. Thank you.

The staff and room was great. Larger rooms would be better, but we were comfortable. We will definitely be back!
