No amenities, no restaurant, no bar or bar options, pool not available(empty), ice machine not working, tub would fill up with water when having a shower, shower faucet was stiff and hard to operated. Extremely dated hotel. Cheap but too dated. Staff were polite but at check I was not asked how my stay was. Probably because they are used to getting rather brutal answers.

Door locks were super temperamental, phone did not work, pool being renovated

The staff were lovely and the lobby impressive. The rooms are dated— the wallpaper, bathrooms (tiles in shower need a good bleach cleaning), dirty desk chair. Was disappointed when I entered the room to see 2 full size beds instead of queen, as advertised. Apparently all the rooms have the same sized beds, so don’t expect a queen. Location in Lynchburg is good. Hotel was fine for one night.

First staff is amazing an quick. Rooms are good. The grand is one of my favorites causes it’s straight across from The Academy Center.

It was a decent hotel. I didn’t see any other guests. The staff was very helpful and nice.

Pool was not available. The fitness room smelled awful. Carpets are old and dated
-
The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant! Breakfast on the premises.

Convenient location for my work meeting Hot water took a while to get hot enough to shower

The location was good & easy to get to, and there was plenty of parking. My room was clean & quiet. The lobby was freezing, and the decor was dated & tired. It looked like there used to be a restaurant at some point, but it was closed down, so there was only coffee available in the morning. Also, the side door to the parking garage was not fully closed after hours - big safety issue.

Unsecured parking. Dirty room. Very old and dated. No food or bar. Looks semi-deserted. Very warm water (but never hot), which took forever to get warm. My wife had to unclog the bathroom sink using her tweezers. It would not drain at all. Fortunately, we were only in the hotel to sleep at night. Not many choices to stay downtown Lynchburg unless one has $ to burn.

Overall the room was cleanish, however the property has been under renovation since I stayed here 3 years ago. No breakfast. No working pool. Not even the ice machine worked. My card to my room kept getting de-magnitized and I had to get new cards… my last day I was told my phone will cause that. First night no hot water in the shower. Went to make a coffee and the last guests pod was in there from who knows when. I had my dog with me, I called in advance and was told there was a $50 pet fee, as is also stated on the listing. Upon checking in it was suddenly a $75 pet fee (and $5 parking fee for an unsecured lot littered with liquor bottles). Won’t be staying here again.

I am writing to formally express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at your property. Despite paying over $1,500 per room, the accommodations, facilities, and customer service fell far below acceptable hospitality standards. Throughout our stay, we encountered the following severe issues: Poor Room Conditions: The rooms were in a general state of disrepair, featuring old, unvacuumed carpets and a broken refrigerator that was missing a leg, causing it to fall over and rendering it unusable. Unsanitary Bathrooms: The bathrooms were inadequately cleaned, with visible mold growing around the upper portion of the sinks. Furthermore, one of the toilets was difficult to flush and ran continuously afterward. Lack of Housekeeping: Our rooms were not serviced once during our entire stay. When we explicitly went to the front desk to request fresh towels, the staff handed us dirty ones. Facility & Tech Failures: The WiFi in Room 429 was completely non-functional. Most concerningly, we became stuck in the property’s elevator on multiple occasions, which is a significant safety hazard. Overall, this was a terrible experience. The exorbitant cost of the stay was entirely unjustified given the deplorable conditions and lack of basic hygiene. I expect a prompt response addressing how management intends to rectify these systemic failures.

The good: Location is perfect. Free Parking garage attached. Rooms are built to be silent. You don't really hear any noise. King bed was pretty comfortable. The price $$ is significantly cheaper than other hotels. The downside: Needs updated decor. No restaurants or breakfast offered, but there used to be a restaurant there. Only basic coffee offered. There are great options up the street. Had to request more soap and towel. No idea what is going on with the pool. None of the downsides would stop me from staying here again.

Once they remodel this will be 5 star rating across the board! I will 100% be staying there again.

Clean room. Easy access to parking. Nice staff
-
So, the place was great for the price, but it could have been nicer and cleaner.

The saving grace for this "rinky dinky" location was pleasant staff (a few met - Tiffany, Breakfast females (names unknown) & General Manager McNeil). Continental breakfast was acceptable as there was a varirty of choices Lights all worked Air condition ran well Television, fridge and microwave were operational Hangers, even though small amount, were found in the closet List of very disconcerting issues with this ridiculously overpriced old hotel: Price Match is not applied to customer rate when a lower rate is found and identified to vendor There was an issue requesting a "switch" prior to making full payment on website of 3rd party vendor AND on property (a losing battle with poor quality room referred to as "Essential") 3rd party vendor / hotel publication of false advertising per photos of property Rating of 3.6 was seen, but a more accurate rate would be about 1.5 All parties were not responsive nor responsible for miscommunications: website indicated "Property would receive any requests, etc.; however, hotel indicated they did not receive any comments that were sent ahead of Check In Overcharged rate for less than standard hotel room (506) Issues with "Privacy" sign being ignored when placed on the door Pool that is inoperable and really disgusting - looks like a cesspool View of old buildings was not appealing from the window Being locked out of my room, prior to Check-Out date, when the room was left to go to the Ballroom for breakfast - Front Desk then advised me that another party's name was showing in my room when the matter was reported (which only had one occupant - ME) that was paid for in full & was to be occupied for yet another night Stolen laptop reported at Check-Out (also notified the Lynchburg Police in case an investigation or camera surveillance footage was needed - in my opinion, the hotel cleverly returned same to my room (indicating that I overlooked it: they stated that my black laptop was found sitting in their brown desk chair)
