Good variety of breakfast items, nice location (beautiful river walks just right across the street of the hotel) and friendly staff. Restaurant, that's part of the hotel, served very tasty meals, we had their salad, salmon and roasted chicken, which were all delicious. Room was advertised with river view - and confirmed in an email with the manager. Our room, however, had a small corner window that overlooked a very messy rooftop and beyond, a sliver view of the river. You would have to stand in front of the window in the corner of the room to get a glimpse of the river.... We spoke to the very helpful person at the front desk who called the manager several times to discuss. The best they could do for us was upgrade us to a larger room at an additional $100 per night ($400 total). Even the upgraded room was not all that special. Very disappointed in the room/hotel and not at all what it was advertised to be. The hallways of the hotel looked like they had not been vacuumed for days. I mentioned it to the front desk, but nothing was done clean it up.

We love this place. The old charm with the intimacy of a small place away from the hustle bustle. Best place to stay in Memphis. It’s not even close.

Quaint, small, safe area, access to other amenities, close to my son’s place, close to downtown without being in downtown Memphis. Lighting in the room & bathroom for applying makeup. I sat by the window to have enough light, which was fine, I had a nice view of the river area.

The welcoming glass of champagne upon arrival was deeply appreciated. I cannot wait to visit the River Inn soon! Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

Our room was nice and quaint. The bed was really comfortable. There is a hidden refrigerator. The only thing that was missing was a microwave, Just in case you wanted to warm your food. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the grit, and my husband said that was the best French toast he's had in a long time. Can't think of anything negative.

I had a lovely stay at the River Inn. It is a beautiful property, well decorated with beautiful views of the Mississippi River and wonderful thoughtful amenities. This is now my go to hotel when in Memphis.

The stay was nice as always. I enjoy the secure surroundings.

Paulette’s Restaurant is on the ground floor and a wonderful place to enjoy chef inspired dishes in this 5 star restaurant.
-
Mud Island location, bathrobes, books, and a fireplace. Marketed as a luxury boutique hotel, the property appears outdated. Small, dark rooms and visibly filthy carpets detract from comfort, and outsourcing breakfast to Tug’s does not meet the expectations of a luxury hotel. The condition of the building itself makes the current pricing and luxury designation unjustifiable.

Great stay! Very quiet. Onsite restaurants were a plus after a long day of driving. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff was all friendly and answered any questions we had. Beautiful view of the Mississippi.

The great thing about this hotel is the fabulous location with a fine view of the Mississippi. The block is walkable with good restaurants and a small grocery store.
