What I Loved About My Stay I usually stay at Boulan for at least part, if not all, of my time in Miami Beach. I keep coming back because of the comfort and familiarity of the one-bedroom apartment with a balcony, along with the amenities and unbeatable proximity to the beach and everything South Beach has to offer. But I have noticed several changes, concerns and issues I will discuss in the next section you should consider. The bed, linens, and sheets are high quality, and I sleep incredibly well every time I stay. The pillows are perfection. Most rooms offer views of Collins Avenue, and depending on your floor, you may even catch a glimpse of the ocean. I enjoy watching the activity at the Setai across the street and the constant energy of the neighborhood. It can be noisy at times, so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. One of my favorite parts of the stay is starting the morning on the balcony with an espresso from the in-room Illy machine. It’s the perfect South Beach ritual. The pool is nice and well-maintained, although it would be even better if music were played more consistently throughout the day. I always book a one-bedroom unit with a balcony, and the layout works perfectly for longer stays. Having a washer and dryer is incredibly convenient, and I appreciate the two bathrooms, soaking tub, and dedicated space to sit and do my makeup. Another small but important detail: the apartment is always kept at a comfortable temperature, which makes it feel even more like home. I have stayed at Boulan dozens of times over the past four years, which is why I’ve been particularly disappointed by some of the changes I’ve observed during my recent visits. I typically visit Miami 3–7 times per year, with stays lasting 7–10 days. Over the past several years, I have increasingly chosen to split my stays between multiple properties because my overall satisfaction with the guest experience at Boulan has gradually diminished. There is a noticeable difference compared to the level of hospitality, graciousness, attentiveness, and attention to detail that I experienced during my earlier visits, those qualities caused me to be returning guest. It simply is not the same overall guest experience anymore—there is something different in the air. I've chosen this property again and again, but one of my biggest disappointments has been the lack of recognition and appreciation for that loyalty. After dozens of stays, I would expect to be remembered, appreciated, welcomed back, and made to feel valued as a repeat guest. Instead, during my last several visits, the experience has often felt impersonal and cold, and unaware I had ever visited previously. There is a tension that feels palpable among the staff, even during guest interactions, and it affects the overall atmosphere. While the front desk team has remained professional, interactions have frequently felt transactional rather than genuinely warm, sincere, and welcoming. The personalized touches that once stood out—such as acknowledging special occasions or recognizing returning guests—have diminished significantly and, in many cases, no longer occur. What makes this particularly frustrating is that small gestures would go a long way. A sincere welcome back, recognition of a returning guest, or other thoughtful touches can make a meaningful difference and help create the boutique luxury experience guests expect.

Nice place to stay in Miami Beach, nice room size and great location, good staff and service
-
Definitely the nicest staff ever. Super helpful and friendly. I stayed in few hotels during my stay in Miami and the stuff was so far the best.
-
2bdrm is a PH which also comes with a private area on the roof near the pool.
-
It was near everything The terrace furniture was dirty couldn’t sit out there

Room size
-
-proximity to the beach -cleanliness -great equipment at the gym -rooftop pool/lounge area -balcony -expresso machine in room -rooms have EVERYTHING you need (e.g. a clothing steamer, a sponge to wash the dishes) -in room washer dryer Honestly, I could go on. This was an exceptional stay; I would 1000% recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!!!

We had the 3 bedroom penthouse, it was fantastic. Huge balcony and beautiful interior. They gave us a free bottle of wine which was a nice touch, but maybe consider white/bubbles in the summer instead of red. The translucent doors to the bedrooms do let through a ton of light, so bring a sleep mask if you plan to sleep past sunrise. One other slightly disappointing thing was the roof balcony access was bolted closed for some reason. Overall a great spot and would recommend and stay again.

Great location. Very amiable front desk personal. Close to all the restaurants, around the corner from CVS and down the street from the beach itself. 10/10 I will return and recommend as well .

Very clean rooms and great customer service

Location is great and room size great, other than that I am really struggling to say anything positive about this hotel. My girlfriend went to put in our rubbish in the bin when we arrived to which she nearly pricked herself on NEEDLES in an un emptied bin. Room didn't feel clean at all, went to reception, there was no real apology or action taken, just followed us to the room to show her and she was on her phone the entire time to take a picture of it to show the cleaning staff, she seemed more frustrated at them then actually solving any situation for us. I would also say it's very misleading with the situation at the beach, considering you are paying a resort fee they want you to pay $28 per day to use an umbrella at the beach, who in there right mind wouldn't have an umbrella in 100 degree heat in Miami, very disappointing stay and way too much money for what it was. And as I said earlier no apology no offer of drinks or a partial refund when my girlfriend almost pricked herself on a used needle....

Very nice room in a great location right on Collins, short walk to the beach as well as tons of restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. We even found a place within 2 blocks serving dinner at 1:30am. Room was bigger and more well appointed than expected.

It’s a great location and staff , however I feel it’s understaffed. They are spread thin, therefore things don’t get fixed quickly, etc
-
Everything! This is one of my Favorite Miami hotels to stay at when I’m in town!
-
The room was clean and beds were great. Just needs some maintenance. The bathroom door kept getting stuck when trying to open it. A lot of outlets didn’t work. Great location though, staff were great. Good for the price!

Highly recommended hotel for anyone staying in south beach
