DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York City - Chelsea

The location was ideal, close to MSG and the train station, pharmacy, places to eat. The staff were extremely accommodating and ready to assist in any way. I enjoyed my time at the property.

Good location, but not in the thick of Chelsea (wish I knew that). Close to subway. Staff was very friendly! Room was not fully clean (floors around bed had a weird white substance on one side), but maid service did come in daily to make the bed and empty trash. Elevators are tiny, dingy and not reliable. On the last day, they were servicing one of them. Lobby is tiny and cramped. Outdoor patio area was nice and great to sit in. Overall, a decent stay for the price.

This hotel is in the middle of everywhere in New York. And staying here just felt so convenient. The staff was great and the cookies were amazing

Nothing, it is possibly the worst hotel in manhattan and definitely the worst I have stayed in The air con didn’t do anything at all except make a loud engine like noise! The rooms are so compact, like claustrophobic small. The air con also sounded like a truck was in the room. The bathroom sink had no plug as was broken. The shower sprayed water all over the floor and flooded the bathroom floor. The beds were tiny and not adequate for adults. There is only 2 lifts for over 25floors which meant everything took an eternity to get out. On check out we had to lift 3 suitcases down the stairs from the 17th floor which took forever given my physical health. The bar closed at 10pm which is just ridiculous, more so that the USA is hosting the World Cup. The WiFi didn’t work as we were on the 17th floor, so had to go downtown and outside to make important business calls .The iron board is not fit for purpose as it’s like a bed quilt on a terrible board. The staff are the most unhelpful you will get. All they say is sorry, like robots. Having been to New York often, this is hands down, the Worst hotel in New York by some distance!!!!!!

The staff is very friendly and that’s all. The walls are paper thin. I can hear the next room tv sound and the rooms are super small. The mattress and pillow are super soft when lay on it. It’s nonexistent.

The bed in the hotel was extremely comfortable and clean. The hotel didn't have carpet which is always a plus. Staff were pleasant A little nosy outside then I prefer, but was durable

We were very bothered by the noisy air conditioner.

The front desk was very kind and accomodating. We were able to check in a little early which was very considerate cause we had a lot of baggage. Pleasant room with a great view. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Everything was really good. Had no issues. The breakfast was good.

Staff was amazing. Super hot wknd & they kept the water cooler full at front desk. Stored my luggage on my last day, were helpful with food & travel suggestions. All during a very busy wknd. Friendly & courteous! Elevators were a tad bit slow.
