Staff was extra helpful—provided fridge. Bar was a charming area

Great experience. Staff is super kind and attentive. No complaints!

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

My room was overall pretty small and super basic, no hanger for the towel even.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

No storage in rooms even though there is enough space for a dresser. No iron in room. Staff is not welcoming and are rushed and short when one calls the front desk. Great location, but noisy on lower floors due to music from restaurant downstairs. Not staying there again - many other choices nearby.

Room was musty, stale and needing an update. Was supposed to get a food credit, no one mentioned on check in. No thank you or perk for checking in as a Hyatt member. Overall poor experience.

Comfortable rooms, very clean, and great location. I also appreciated that they brought cold glass bottles of filtered water up to the room even when we arrived past midnight. It was great not to have to use plastic alternatives. The doormen were exceptionally helpful. The beds have four long soft pillows on them. I asked twice at the front desk for regular sized pillows but they were neither delivered nor was there an explanation why my request was not fulfilled. Understand if they don't have them but would have appreciated some kind of response.

    Clean private room and quiet

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Convenient location, rooms are clean and bigger than other comparable hotels in the area, friendly staff. Great bar with live music on the weekend.

The double Queen bed room was large and very comfortable to share with a friend.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Great location, large rooms, clean and the staff were kind and helpful. Our only issue surrounded parking. There was some confusion about what garage cars were being parked in, so we had to plan to park our own vehicle one of the nights (rather than valet at hotel). We were able to walk everywhere but subway access would have been easily accessible if needed.

On May 19, 2026, $4,175.63 was charged to our card, while the final hotel folio shows a total charge of $3,392.71; PLEASE RETURN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE AMOUNT CHARGED TO OUR CARD AND THE FINAL FOLIO AMOUNT WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY! Paying over $3,300 for 6 nights at a Hyatt-managed hotel in New York resulted in one of the worst booking and customer support experiences we have encountered. The reservation was sold through Booking.com as accommodation “with breakfast included” exactly as stated in the booking confirmation. Only after payment and check-in did it become clear that the “included breakfast” effectively consisted of a yogurt parfait or fruit plate with a beverage - something extremely difficult to consider an appropriate breakfast for a Hyatt-managed hotel of this category and price level. The hotel itself was largely unresponsive, while Booking.com continuously shifted responsibility between parties instead of resolving the issue. Hyatt Global Support explicitly stated that responsibility for transparency of booking conditions lies with Booking.com as the platform through which the reservation was purchased. Already the day after payment and check-in, comparable accommodation under similar conditions was being offered for approximately $1,000 less, while no additional level of service or benefits were provided to justify the substantially higher amount paid by me. The overall support experience was unacceptable: - template responses, - constant delays, - lack of ownership, - and endless redirection between Booking.com and the hotel. Choosing this hotel for my son, who was alone in New York, I relied on the reputation of the Hyatt brand and expected an appropriate level of service and support. As of today, we are still awaiting the return of the $600 deposit as well as adequate compensation for the time, stress, and extremely uncomfortable experience created during our son’s stay. Moreover, even the $240 compensation promised by the parties has still not actually been paid and, considering the overall situation, already appears more like mockery than an attempt to genuinely resolve the issue.

This was our third stay at the hotel, and there is a reason we keep coming back. The location is excellent and makes exploring the city incredibly convenient. The beds are some of the most comfortable we have slept in, which is especially appreciated after long travel days. We also love that the hotel is dog-friendly, as traveling with our dog is important to us. The property itself has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and overall we genuinely enjoy staying here. The rooms are comfortable, the neighborhood is great, and the hotel has consistently felt like a place we wanted to return to whenever we visit New York. The only reason I am not leaving a glowing review is because of an issue that has occurred during all three of our stays, and after experiencing it repeatedly, it has become difficult to view it as anything other than a pattern. We always book the same room category. We do so very intentionally. We travel with multiple large suitcases and need enough space to comfortably unpack and move around. We also prefer a specific area of the hotel because certain rooms have a much nicer view and a bay window layout that significantly improves the experience. Whenever possible, we request those rooms in advance. Each time we have arrived, we have come off an overnight flight from the West Coast, usually after eight or more hours of travel. We arrive exhausted, jet-lagged, and simply wanting to get settled into the room we booked. Yet on every visit we have been told that our requested room is unavailable and have instead been assigned one of the smallest rooms in the category. The first time, we assumed it was simply bad luck. The second time, we found it frustrating but gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. By the third stay, however, it became impossible to ignore the fact that the exact same thing was happening again. What is particularly disappointing is what happens next. After we question the assignment and explain that the room we have been given is not what we were expecting, the room we originally requested somehow becomes available. Not hours later. Not the next day. Somehow, after a conversation, the room suddenly appears and we are moved. The issue is not that room inventory changes. Hotels are complex operations and occasional availability issues happen. The issue is the way this situation is handled. There is no apology, no acknowledgment that the guest experience has been negatively affected, and no effort to make things right.

Large room - all new- quiet room! VERY COMFORTABLE beds!

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Location was great! They charged random amounts after check out even after we paid. No reply to messages

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Location is unbeatable While we appreciated the gesture of an upgraded king size room, the space didn't quite meet the expectations that come with that designation. The room would benefit from some refreshing attention — a few loose knobs, minor wall scuffs, and a worn rug were small details that collectively impacted the overall feel. We're confident that with a bit of maintenance, this room has the potential to truly deliver on the upgrade experience.

    Exceptional

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

It's our new favorite hotel in New York City. Everything about it was appealing. Not ostentatious. Cozy. We had a small room but that's what we expect in the city. It was quiet and its amenities were perfect: comfortable bed, bedside lamps on dimmers, excellent shower. And this may be a small detail for some, but they provide a small bar of soap, instead of a giant one the majority of which will be tossed. The staff are friendly, I was able to print something, the lobby is comfortable, provides coffee in the morning, and is a great place to work. It feels like they have thought through all the details. We will return!

Showers were old and dingy... soaps were empty and not refilled.
