Reviews

It was fine, the room was clean and functional.
-
The restaurant was closed so that was a bummer, but the hotel was nice, good drinks and close to some attractions.
-
The room was incredibly clean! It’s sucha beautiful hotel. I highly recommend getting one of the penthouses and enjoying the view. Loved my little weekend getaway there. The staff were friendly, the restaurant on the ground floor was also really good.

The location of public was fantastic. The hotel was very clean. The hotel offers great services but the way they go about it seems lacking. The luggage storage service is great but the employees seem hassled when you utilize

Loved the place ! Trendy, clean, great service. The loft room was spacious enough for the upgraded price as well. The main thing I didn’t love is that the rooftop is closed during the day. Would’ve loved to have a drink during the afternoon outdoors, as it was so hot and nice out, but there was no real nice space for that. Other than that, excellent !

Traveled solo here to New York at a great time, worth the price, great room. Had a great time Saturday night at art space below the hotel as well. Worked remote Monday - Wednesday. Very comfortable environment

In a lovely area and nice bathrooms, but there are a few things that could make it the extra bit worth your money. Staff were lovely and helpful!

Very nice and cool for everything

PUBLIC is a very hip hotel with very nice amenities and a seemingly great following. Lots always going on in the common areas. Great juice bar and trippy escalator experience upon entering the foyer. The beds are incredibly comfy!! Who knew that an on/off button in the generous shower stall (great water pressure) was what my life was missing. Great location steps away from 2nd Avenue subway and a well-appointed Whole Foods. Really enjoyed our stay here!

I loved this hotel! Favorite place I’ve stayed in NYC yet. Beautiful rooms, great location, smoothie juice bar, and a garden outside perfect for daytime or ending the night. The check in staff could have been a bit more welcoming for the price but hey it’s new york after all lol. Also would say it’s geared towards a younger crowd especially with the roof / lobby clubs open on the weekends. Hope to be back soon!

The bathroom situation for the shower is absolutely clownery.
