The elevators are an issue. At busy times, it is hard to get up and down

Also, our safe was broken and never got repaired. I asked for more towels on more than one occasion and was not granted any. The room was dirty when we checked in and brought this concern up to the staff but nothing happened. Overall we had a really poor experience.

We liked the room, ours was quite spacious for NYC and we loved the floor to ceiling windows which gave us a great view. Bed was comfy albeit the pillows were lumpy. Staff very friendly in particular Angel so was helpful when we were trying to get a cab to leave Wasn't happy with the pool situation, we had chosen this hotel for it's pool, when we booked it said the pool was complimentary and did not state any restrictions other than age after midday however when we got there we were told could only use it 8am - 11:30am then after 12 it was chargeable at $68 each. I did complain but received the response once we were home this said that we would get a 25% discount as guests, had we have known the pool was chargeable we wouldn't have booked. The cold water in the shower took several minutes to come through

Property had the outdoors pool witch was something on this heat wave - but wait a minute They did tel you would not be able to use it after 12pm They nor informed in messages nor direct when doing check in - in the afternoon when best time for pool the they sell for everyone pool pass for money Same if you at a hotel if there are still pases available you need to buy day pool pass!!!!!!! So general public is more welcome than you And to look and book you need by yourself via hotels web site / my mom doesn’t speak English and we asked in a resection area to make a reservation for a pool- we were told it is not the scope pf his duties and continued rolling eyes and telling in small script is written somewhere.. The service is non existent , not trained, rude , It is nothing what at 5* I could have imagined Even suitcases me snd my 72 years mom were were rolling our bags ourself the guy in front of us - shouted direction of the elevator while we were pulling our staff There was no COLD WATET in a shower first day next morning/ thy didint organise substitute - I went to a conference as been in fill glamour it fluctuates all the time more hot more cold - so you need to be lucky getting luke Warm water. And all shower water creates a pot in a bathroom - there is no good angle on tiles so collects in all shower room around closer good level of water.

This is the Best Location in town. Walkable to popular attractions. Amazing view of the Empire State Building. We’ve stayed at many places in New York. Mid and high range, multiple neighborhoods, but Virgin is my Fav!!!!

Only thing we were not happy with was the use of the amenities as hotel guests. We had free access to the pool in the morning only, then had to pay after 12pm with a reservation for loungers. This was very disappointing as we already paid quite an amount for the stay itself. The privacy feature in our room was not functional, we advised housekeeping upon checking in but it was never fixed.

Brand new with good size room and good amenities. Nice staff and good breakfast The lift was always so busy and it took forever to get up to our room. Having to have a minimum spend for being able to sit by the pool while already being guests staying in the hotel was a bit ridiculous.

amazing stay! amazing vibe! thank you so much

Pros: Air conditioning was great. Room was comfortable. Restaurant and server at the pool were super nice and helpful. Cons: front desk staff not awesome. Elevators were awful. No ice or water on my floor. Surcharges for the pool after 12:00. $50 for the lounger and a min $50 food and beverage charge which wasn’t hard to achieve since each drink is 20 bucks. Asked for late checkout when I arrived but apparently front desk staff neglected to put that in the system. When I inquired the night before checkout I was rudely told not possible. The facilities were adequate but there are warmer hotels in NYC that make you feel like a guest instead of an imposition. Probably won’t be staying here again.

The view from the room and the pool are absolutely stunning. Overall, the stay was decent, but the room feels worn and could use some minor renovations. The furniture is rather cheap, and while the staff weren't unfriendly, they weren't particularly welcoming either. There were also frequent queues at the front desk.

A great property in an amazing location! Room was clean, modern, and had the best view of any hotel I’ve stayed at in NYC. I took off one star because the check-in process was a nightmare and most of the staff I interacted with seemed like they didn’t want to be there. The waitress I felt with in the restaurant spent more time on her phone than she did actually helping out the customers. Other than that I loved the property and would definitely stay here again!

The hotel in general was absolutely beautiful and the staff and Midtown location were great for this trip. The elevator system is a little tricky!
