Richmond Motel

Building and grounds look clean from the outside. Easy access from 301. Room was a good size with new beds, fridge, micro and TV. Walls were noticeably dirty and need fresh paint. No clothes rod or hooks. Tiny bath was sub-standard with mis-matched & patched ceramic tile. No electric outlets in the bathroom. Mirror was dirty. Tiny sink top had numerous cigarette burns and stains. Tiny 36 x 36 stall shower had rusty curtain rod and moldy shower curtain. Bath door, frame and lock were broken. Upper walls badly needed paint. Spartan quality linens were clean. Good nighttime security lighting in parking lot. One of the two ceiling lights flickered like a strobe. This property has potential to compete with pricey downtown lodging but in its current state of repair is not for the faint of heart. Needs major interior upgrades immediately.

Super cheap Shower didn’t work, dirty.

My buddy described this place as “the kind of hotel you’d take strippers to.” Well needless to say the show we got afterwards was worth it

Nice spot to stay in Richmond considering the price. Nothing fancy, but the room was clean and quiet with convenient parking right outside the door. I slept great and it wasn't far from my jobsite, can't complain!

The operator side was really nice and helpfull I don't think this place has heat they had an AC but no option to heat the room or any indication there was a heating system, got a blanket from target and was fine but would have been intolerable without that. Also the bed frames are really loud just laying down made it sound like you were kicking a filing cabinet because of the cheap metal bedframe.

Cordial & helpful front desk. Cleanliness of room - bedsheets, pillows, towels, bathroom. Better/larger bars of complimentary soap.

The key did not work for the door after we went to get something to eat. and could not find anybody at front desk to deal with it. Had to find somewhere else to sleep. When we came the next morning to let them know, there was no remorse or compensation for it.

The staff were pleasant. The room had seen better days. Tv did not work dirty towel was left in the bathroom and some trash on the floor.

The room was clean lots of food places near by

There was definetely illegal dealing occuring during the late night. Our room had a broken door hinge and was easily able to open the door even when properly closed.

This hotel should be removed from Expedia’s list of hotels. The worst hotel I have ever seen. Dirty stain pillow cases and sheets. Door frame broken from recent forcible entry. They couldn’t find a clean room. I left and they didn’t want to refund my money. I had to call my connections to make them refund or they would be shut down. DO NOT book this hotel.

It didn’t smell like garbage. It totally didn’t feel gross just standing in the bathroom. I most certainly did not almost gag when I first walked in. I didn’t get drunk in the parking lot with my friends either. I did bring a sleeping bag.

I got sick because the room has not cleaned, the door not was safe enough very bad place to stay

Very rough place. Was told by front clerk that they spray for bed bugs DAILY! Ugh... NOPE, never again.

The property was a health (bedbugs & dirty linen) & safety (faulty street level door lock)

The rooms need to be updated, new doors, curtains, chairs, and TV stand. A fresh coat of paint would help!

I want to be transparent here. My room was barebones, but it is what I paid for, and for that I was satisfied. If you’re looking for the 5 star experience without paying for it, that’s unrealistic here for right now. The staff were friendly and flexible. It’s my hope that Richmond hotel will provide more amenities, upgrades, and repairs as it gets more guests there.
