Decent room

Great location, classic hotel.

Really tired hotel with no soul. No bell/ doorman to greet, 1 FD clerk on, so had to wait to check in. No answer when I tried 3 extensions to have my car brought around. Room was just ok, no slippers, mini bar locked, no water offered. Bathroom sink mixing valve do not work and water was scalding hot. I own luxury hotels and the once famous Mark Hopkins is in decline…the owners or GM need to wake up. Really tired hotel with no soul. Our room was spacious, clean with a large and comfortable bed. A plus to stay at this hotel (stayed 5 or 6 times, already) is The Top of the Mark, on the top floor of the hotel. You can dance your night away at the sound of weekly live bands while having a 360 degree view over san Francisco and the bay.

Was very elegant , all you could expect from a nice hotel … pretty bar No pool

Room was relatively clean, and it is an older, historic hotel so you know it has a lot of charm. Some amenities are not here such as no coffee in the room- they have free coffee in the lobby but no coffee makers. Also no refrigerator just a locked mini bar if you have leftovers or bring any travel snacks. The top of the mark is always fun, the views are outstanding, and such a cool spot, but overall the hotel lacks some pretty trucks amenities.

like the location, service and ambiance, but room view could have been better, and of course trying to find a more inexpensive way to park the car....$100 a night gets costly..

Excellent dog park across the street. Cable car ran right to property. We saw a show at the Masonic which was walking distance. First time in Nob Hill was great.

The Mark is a classic - it's an excellent hotel. Kind of unfair to compare it to the Fairmont, but I think it's a better value.

The staff were super nice and helpful and the room was amazing. The Top of the Mark is worth the money.

Always enjoy staying at the Mark Hopkins. It never disappoints!
-
every thing was up to my expectations except parking was very high for overnight parking.....at 100 a night it does impact my considerations on where I stay in SF....

Very poor

1. There's no place to purchase any drinks or snacks besides room service or the restaurant/bar at the top. I've been to many hotels and there's usually a small (or big) store to accommodate hotel stayers. Nearest place to purchase not-so-overpriced-water is a store down the hill. My lazy self didn't appreciate the walk back up the hill haha. 2. The TVs have no Netflix or casting capability. I felt like I was back in the 90s with the scrolling tv guide on the screen. 3. Internet is free but there's no option to purchase a higher speed. You get what you get. As someone you enjoys playing pc games after a day of work, this was a no-go for me as well. 4. The AC isn't accurate, probably since the building and system is so old. My body requires cold temperatures that would freeze a normal person's toes off. The AC here would not get cold. I ended up sleeping with the windows open at night to get some cool air in. Overall, if you want a beautiful hotel with amazing staff and you don't mind the above-mentioned things, this is the place for you.

this stay from check in to check out was phenomenal. the best staff (we love you sal!), location, top of the market afternoon cocktail, and overall experience - could not have topped off our trip more perfectly.
