Delightful hotel with a great location. The rooms are very small and a bit overpriced with the World Cup in town but still delightful even over paying for the size of the space.
-
Great little spot in the heart of the Castro.

Walking in the first thing I notice was the rooms were extremely small. No biggie. But then a few major things like plumbing was backed up so shower water filled up the floor and same thing with the bathroom faucets.. the power outlets did not work so I couldn’t charge my phone which ended up being a major issue for my night out. One of the worst properties I have stayed at. To make matters worse there is no one to physically talk to for check in so it just made it all that much more difficult. Won’t return again

Once you’re setup with your pin, everything works. The door was a bit fidgety, and the blinds in my room did not work lol this meant the blinds (which are black outs btw) is permanently locked at whatever position it is in. Ultimately the bed was comfortable and the stay was fine but I can’t recommend the property.

Absolutely 10/10 would recommend to anyone and totally worth the price. Everything was nearly perfect from the location, cleanliness, safety, amenities, hospitality, check in/out instructions and overall communication. One of the many reasons why the beloved queer community does everything ✨right✨! Love love Hotel Castro!!

Great location

Loved the hotel. Location, convenience and cleanliness.

The location is absolutely perfect for visiting The Castro District. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. I just had to give less stars because the walls and floors/ceiling are so thin you can hear absolutely everything from your neighbors, especially footsteps. We could not sleep. Thankfully the remote staff was very responsive and was able to remedy the noisy party.

No housekeeping and no maintenance on site means a simple request takes forever and no guarantee a human will see it
-
Room too small.

I never got into the hotel, and I was assured my card was not charged. However, you did charge my card for the stay, and I expect a refund. I will never reserve at a "virtual check-in experience," and I'm tempted not to use hotels.com again because you charged my card, said you didn't and did it anyway.

The room was spotless, the design and finishes were fantastic, and it was a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Castro in San Francisco. The staff were super helpful and got back to me quickly. Expedia had a $34 food credit on my reservation, but the hotel couldn’t use it, so the staff mentioned they’re looking into a refund.

Check in was difficult because we didn’t get a link sent, so we had to text “Kasa” and wait. The ID process seemed overly detailed and invasive (on privacy). I hope the data I had to upload will be deleted. The room was fine, if small. TV in main area kept turning off.
