Great location

Close to restaurants

It took me a hour and a half to get checked in because the GM couldn’t find it in their itinerary and then the room was not as pictured on the booking website. It was small and the bed was caved in that I slid of the sides if I tried to sit anywhere except the middle of it. My microwave didn’t have a glass plate so I was unable to use the microwave. And the ac/thermostat on the wall didn’t work.

We spent two nights and had a pleasant stay overall. Very clean, beds where comfortable and it was quiet at night. The staff went out their way to accommodate us with a crib and Rhea was helpful at the front desk. About a 10 min walk to Notre Dame. Would stay again.

The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The property is a work in progress since changing brand name. The room we were assigned was not great: tv didn’t work, bar sink in room was beyond dirty, the faucet for the bar sink dripped all night, huge water stain in bathroom ceiling, bathroom light fixture was missing it’s cover, and the thin curtain covering the window was too small and much too thin to block out the lovely street light that was shining in our room right by the bed. The ac did work, the toilet flushed, and the bed was comfortable with good pillows. But we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

There was a guy staying there with a pitbull who was growling at me and trying to approach me. I'm disabled so I took my walker and put it in front of me and he cursed me out yelling "don't do that shit to my dog"! This was my very first day there trying to get on the elevator and the man at the counter said nothing! It stank in the hallway smelling like weed and mind you this hotel is right by the airport! It might be okay for an overnight if you have to but I doubt if I go back, especially for the high price of the room! Last but not least someone kept bumping and banging in the room beside so the big mirror fell to the floor! It didn't break so I leaned it against the wall. It was an experience! ?

Nothing it was dirty I never got my deposit back and it was dirty

Nothing I could not stay because Wyndham does not own the hotel anymore, yet is still taking reservations and trying to collect money—it should be criminal.

Ownership change made things awkward

Hotel is no longer a Microtel, this is now a SureStay by Best Western. They did call and let me know that the property had changed ownership. They charged me a higher price at check in than what I reserved the room for on Hotels.com. It was a concert weekend at Notre Dame, so I was not able to find another room elsewhere. The room was FILTHY. Stains on walls, mirrors, floors, furniture. Sticky carpeting. Chair was covered in dust and stains. Smelled. Bathroom door did not close. Broken and missing artwork on the walls. Broken curtain rod, curtain did not close fully, so light from street/parking lot shone in. Lobby was under construction. Ice Maker in breakfast area did not work.

Crowded parking, dated rooms, pictures online makes it look better than it is. Bathrooms don’t have counter tops just a sink, and the air and heat units are old and loud.

Property has changed ownership and the new owners are horrible. I had made this reservation 6 months ago as soon as I purchased tickets to the Luke Combs show. The new owners refused to honor my original rate that I had reserved months ago and decided to increase the rate by over $65 the day of. It was completely unacceptable and the most ridiculous situation I've been in. the hotel was run down and not clean as the previous reviews had said. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel now that it is under new ownership and the Best Western name.

We booked this property months ago The week of our stay we got a phone call from the general manager saying they’re changing ownership and charging us more even though I had already booked with a locked in rate. Half the keys didn’t work, there was no soap, there was blood on the floor, the bathroom was dirty and gross, there was a giant pile of rocks in the middle of the parking lot and a friend that was meeting us at the hotel before the event was followed and watched like a hawk by the new owner. I think the beds were purchased from the ikea used section the rooms are so tiny, there was no space for our luggage. There were spotlights shining in the room, no blackout curtains, no sheer curtains so everything could be seen. The loud hum from what I assume powers the parking lot lights made it hard to sleep and the walls are paper thin. I will never return to this hotel and I urge no one else to go. Literally go anywhere else for a better experience.

The problems I had... I booked online and paid for it and because of them changing their company i didn't get my money back and had to buy a room there and also pay again!
-
Very bad experience. We have stayed here many times previously. We booked a room with Microtel. When we arrived hours later we were told property was no longer a Microtel but a temporary Stay hotel them later in the month would be a Best Western. They would not honor our paid reservation and I was told to call Booking.com back and request a refund. Meanwhile they booked our room for us at a higher price. Spent hours on the phone in a queue. Booking.com needed to call the property….to which they did not answer. Then Booking tried emailing….which goes to some corporate email and no one there knows what is going on. What a flipping mess!

We booked a room through Expedia and when we arrived we were told they weren’t accepting bookings through a thing party and we should call Expedia to get a refund and then book personally with them at twice the price. We did call Expedia who refunded our money and we went to another hotel. What a terrible service from this hotel
-
Hotel was recently sold and the transition has been horrible. They Raised prices and the free breakfast is a joke. Avoid for now
-
Communication was less than ideal. Would never recommend anyone to book through Expedia ever. Can’t get ever get hold of a real live person to help with questions.
-
Microtel is no longer in business at that property
-
It isn't a Microtel anymore. It is now a Best Western. Mass confusion when we went to check in. Fortunately, the staff was SUPERB and helped get check-in done. Love the staff, hate that it got changed and Hotels.com hasn't been updated.
