Avalon Hotel Downtown St. Petersburg

This place rocks! From check-in to check out, you are so well taken care of. Upon arrival they have water and coffee and the front desk. Staff is super helpful. And they’ll give you a parking pass. And then there is a reception from 5 to 7 I believe each night. And it’s just so lovely here. It’s an older property but very well maintained. The bedding is very comfortable. There are no refrigerators in the room, so just keep that in mind. Free parking and access to the Hollander next-door. With a beautiful pool area and a bar, two bars actually. Can’t beat this place. It’s amazing!

The Avalon never disappoints. The property is amazing and so convenient to anything and everything you would need. The staff treats you like family. Will is the host with the most~ the love and attention he pays to his visitors and employees is so heartfelt and thoughtful. By far my favorite hotel and it makes the St Pete adventurous even that much more enjoyable. 💗

The hotel was excellent, all amenities were located next door at the sister hotel. The evening meals were excellent, the lady who served me each night ( I can’t recall her name) was so lovely. At Avalon Hotel, Ethan, Kevin and Larissa on front desk were brilliant, they made my stay all the more enjoyable. Housekeeping were efficient. Loved the comp wine or bubbles daily between 5 & 7. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was fine - had enough space. Don’t expect a fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room; no fridge would be my only downside. Coffee and tea with breakfast cookies were available each morning in the lobby or can go next door. Would I stay here again and recommend Avalon Hotel Absolutely 100%

The staff was nice and friendly. The front desk accommodated me checking in an hour early. The place was a clean, intimate, boutique kind of hotel. With the wooden floor on the first floor, I could hear every person walking by. It was pretty loud. No refrigerator In the room. The entire room was really small and so was the bathroom, it was super small that the toilet was behind the bathroom door… pretty awkward.

It was a very trendy boutique hotel that offered a really great staying experience. Nothing more than you needed but also nothing less.

Nice staff, rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable

The location is amazing and access to the neighboring hotel's pool (sister hotel) is nice a it has a lovely pool area and a nice bar/restaurant as well. The staff was very helpful and they had complimentary prosecco in the lobby for some hours in the evening which was great! The rooms are a bit dated in terms of the suites. It's not the furnishings themselves as they are new and stylish, but the baseboards, doors, tile and such in the bathroom. It all feels like it's on it's twelfth coat of paint.

Great hotel & great stay! Staff was friendly & attentive.

The staff was great. They served free coffee and cookies in the morning. Happy hour wine and champagne was offered every day. There were free water bottles in the lobby...which was very inviting. Pool, bar, and restaurant next door with excellent service and food!

Exceptional

Always love our stays at the Hollander, so we checked out the Avalon this time. Similar vibe, but a few things would make it excellent. First off, no USB anywhere in the room for charging my phone. Most hotels have added alarm clocks with that feature. And I would have liked a night lite or separate option to light the bathroom that doesn't require the fan running all night. The price and location make it a worthwhile stay for one or two nights.

Most everything Parking

This boutique hotel was super cute. I was incredibly grateful for onsite parking. The staff was friendly at check in and the tap room next store at the sister hotel was delightful.

Such a cool place, with a retro vibe! Rooms were small, but super cute. Only suggestion is more light and shelf space in room.
