We liked the quaint atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The fire alarm went off at 530 in the morning. It would have been nice if the staff had offered us something for having to evacuate early in the morning.

The property was ok but it needs maintenance. You can see stains in the ceiling and it seems to have a humidity problem. It smelled like mold. Hotel has breakfast included and we had planned to have breakfast at the hotel before we left for the day but the personnel that worked at the restaurant did not show up in the morning so we had to skip breakfast altogether. Never had experienced such lack of customer service. Also, beds were small they say it’s queen but it felt more like a full size. The hotel needs maintenance we observed stains in the ceiling.

Really fantastic stay. Best spot to stay in Champaign Urbana now. The bar is charming and the location extraordinary. The renovation was stellar and the staff is attentive and excellent.

Always have an enjoyable stay at Hotel Royer. The location is fantastic. Rooms are comfortable. Staff is friendly. Favorite spot to stay when visiting UIUC.

Architecture and preservation of interior. Wife could not sleep that night because of the chemical oder in the room. Sit down breakfast was too long of a wait and not compatible with our schedule. Way over the top amenity. Pillows collapsed providing little support for the neck.
