Aqua Vista Resort Hotel

When I got there they were giving my room away when I booked the hotel it was pay at property. I booked 3 nights and they told me they gave one night away. I had to go somewhere else for the third night. The place was dirty. The only good thing was the ocean view. Don’t waste your time.

Location is perfect. The building desperately needs new furniture and updates. However, the the room was clean. The balcony had lots of trash on it and the grassy area between the building and the ocean had a ton of trash that should be picked up. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We were there four nights, but nobody came to clean the room one time or take out trash. . We had to constantly ask for new towels and toilet paper and sheets.

Amazing staff and cleanliness of the room was outstanding!.

There was absolutely nothing pleasant about this hotel except the beach and the pool. If you had a less expensive room, you were immediately treated as a second class customer including parking two blocks away. The shower had a large bug inside and dangerous screws sticking out around the back plastic panel that had obviously not been fully screwed in. Both of these scared our young granddaughter. The TV did not work the entire first night and a request to fix it was met with a statement that there was no maintenance person to fix it until the next day. When we asked about another room, the clerk was dismissive and said a move would require an additional charge. At our request, a maintenance person came the next day to look at the offending screws while we were at the beach. Somehow that person managed to lock the door from the inside. It took the staff a least an hour to figure out that conundrum while we waited in the hallway in wet swim suits. We were not provided adequate towels and washcloths. One of the ads for this hotel stated there was a free breakfast; but that had been discontinued. Our room was totally outdated and had bathroom fixture colors straight out of the last mid-century. The negative attitude and dismissiveness at the front desk made everything much worse. To sum it all up, we cannot recommend that anyone stay at this hotel.

Room was booked months in advance when I arrive to check in the wait time took forever and when I finally got to the room, I opened it and it had not even been clean from the last day then the representative said they were going to see if someone can clean it, which they said no one could, and then called the manager, who said they were all sold out, and there were no other rooms available at their other hotel either. I had to clean my entire room, stripped the bed wash the shower floors, sinks counters, clear the trash out and make beds. The place stunk and they took forever. They offered me no money for cleaning the room for them even though they had a janitor who was there all night bringing me supplies.

Location was great, room was clean for the most part you can see some water damage but that’s to be expected since it’s a hotel with a pool, the ocean and running bath water. We were beach shoes in the shower for cleanliness and didn’t lean on the walls but overall a very decent hotel stay The staff for the most part were friendly but we had to ask for towels and wash cloths CONSTANTLY the men were super helpful and there was one female who was actually super helpful as well I wish I remembered her name but I know her face.

Oceanfront view, parking was in a different location but not too far, nice staff. I don’t normally write reviews about places i stay, but this was the most unsanitary I have ever stayed in. Besides the grossness of the room (which I will get to after), we arrived on time for check in (4pm) and were told the room was not ready yet. We went to the beach while we waited. An hour passed by and we checked to see if it was ready. They told us yes, so we got our keys and started to walk to the room. As we are walking to the room, the housekeeper asked if we were in that room and said he wasn’t done cleaning. He was very nice and told us we can place our stuff inside so we didn’t need to hold it in the hallway. We sat on the balcony as he continued cleaning so we stayed out of the way and not rushing him at all. It ended up being about 6pm (2 hours after check in) til we were able to be in the room and set our stuff up. I was very disappointed, losing time on our stay when check in is supposed to be available at 4pm. Not only did we lose two hours of our time, but our room had a bandaid on the curtain, floor not swept, eyelashes on the bed and in the shower had hair everywhere, bathroom still had a razor and wash cloths from previous people staying in the room.

Everything was great there except the elevator hardly worked and they had to fix it several of times. Also when it does work it takes a while for it to get to ur floor because there is only one elevator in the building. Other than that, everything was great

NOTHING. THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE. Our room door did not shut properly, which is a major SAFETY concern. We had to lift the door in order to close it. I went to the front desk on June 12 to report this issue to the night staff member. Unfortunately, she responded with an unprofessional attitude and began venting, saying, “it’s always something here, that’s why I’m getting out of here.” I explained that I was simply trying to get assistance with the door, and she told me to return at 7:00 a.m. when maintenance would be available. I returned at 7:00 a.m. as instructed, but the same staff member was at the desk complaining to the morning employee. Later that day, around 11:30 a.m., I informed the staff member cleaning room #100 about the issue. Despite multiple reports, no one came to address the problem on June 13. On June 14, as I was returning to the property, the employee who checked me in asked how my stay was going. I explained the ongoing issue with the door and stated that there was no need to send anyone, as I had already decided to leave. She was very nice and helpful during check-in, which I appreciated. In addition to the door issue, our toilet was continuously running and would not flush properly. I also reported this to the front desk, but again, no one came to resolve it.

Exceptional

It was a safe place to stay. The hotel is old. None of the furniture in the room matches and you can tell it was all hand me downs from hotels that did upgrades. I called the front desk because our TV did not work and was told they would call me right back but they never did. Luckily I had my laptop so we were able to watch movies on it. There is only one elevator for the whole hotel and it is super slow.

The view was great. The elevator was down 2 of the 4 days. The lamp shade was broken, the bathroom door know was broken. When asked for towels they didn't have any.

Picture of room booked had 2 double beds and couch ,on check in they said there is no rooms with a couch..(so I slept on floor) broken elevator , outlets not working , room was VERY dirty with hairballs from past guests , broken lamps, toilet flush barely working etc…. Very disappointed, this hotel is nothing close to the reviews I saw on Expedia….

I would not stay here again. The hotel is not very well maintained.

Elevator broken for more than 2 hours

The hotel is located in a great spot. But that's it. The rooms were a little dirty. We had to ask for a broom to sweet ours when we got there. We got oceanfront but every time we opened the balcony door there was a heavy creaking sound coming from the door hinge, so loud we couldn't go on the balcony at night when our baby was asleep. The toilet leaked every time it was flushed. The bed wasn't that comfortable. And there's only 1 very small elevator in the entire 7 floor building, you'd have to wait at least 10 minutes to get your turn on it. Towards the end of our stay the elevator broke down and didn't get fixed so we had to take the stairs (from the 3rd floor) every time we wanted to go out and when we had to leave. Imagine carrying a stroller up 3 flights of stairs everytime you wanted to get some food or walk the strip. Not to mention we had to hand carry all of our bags out by hand on our last day. And the parking lot to the hotel isn't next to it, it's across the street. I felt bad for the people staying on the 7th floor.

The price. Parking came with the room. Parking is 1/2 a block from the hotel & the few drop off spots are always taken. If you forgot something in your vehicle, you had to decide if it is worth the walk to the separate parking lot
