Holiday Inn Washington-Central/White House by IHG

Our room was very clean and well maintained by the staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious and very fresh. The rooftop pool was amazing with a great view. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location was great. The neighborhood was quiet. About a 20 minute walk to the museums and National Mall. Couple of restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Johnny rockets in located inside with a breakfast buffet for 17$. To use the washer and dryer was free. Only downside was there was a gap in the AC unit of our room from a missing screw so flies were coming in but nothing a piece of paper couldn’t fix. Other than that it was a good stay.

The bathroom was very very small and the trim around the tub and or door trim is peeling badly. I was expecting so much better but I guess you only get what you pay for. $400.00+ for 2 nights we should have been treated like "Royalty" instead we are given a room with a view of dumpsters and the backside of the property and the back of other buildings and treated like the staff was doing us a favor letting us stay there. Not impressed.

The location was great, walking distance to White House, Washington Memorial etc. The surrounding area felt safe walking around late in the evening.The reception staff were very friendly & polite. The room itself was very clean & well maintained. Nothing I didn’t like

Very convenient for walking to the White House and hopping on the tour bus. Felt safe to explore the neighborhood just as much as enjoying a meal at Johnny Rockets. The staff were extremely friendly, our son enjoyed relaxing in the pool in the evening.They were visibly working on updating and maintaining the property.(Painting, replacing appliances in rooms when we walked in halls.). It was affordable, clean, and suited our purpose.

Hotel met my expectations, friendly staff and clean and spacious rooms. The location exceeded my expectations. I could work to the office locations I had meetings in and after work lot of landmarks were in walking distance. Breakfast was a bit limited

Check in was painless. The room was clean and well stocked. The bed was comfy. Sirens are audible day and night. I think this is just a part of DC. I can also confirm that slamming doors are audible, particularly in the morning hours as guests vacate the rooms. I think installation of some door closers might help. I appreciated the on-site laundry. The machines were free to use and detergent was available for purchase. The hotel location is good considering the price. The metro station is about 3 blocks away.

Location & staff met the mark. Also, an early check-in was absolutely needed and appreciated. Some of the facilities are evidently aged and the bathroom fixtures weren't the cleanest.
