Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square

I enjoyed everything about the Sofitel. The staff members were very helpful and friendly, the room was very spacious and clean, and the location of the hotel was great. I would recommend this stay to anyone, and would likely stay in again in the future!

Only one small bottle of water per person In the room per day, which was fine, but there was nowhere to get anymore in the hotel, or within easy walking. A vending machine in the lobby would have at least helped. Overnight staff were not very welcoming after our flight was delayed.

Excellent location and a few blocks walking distance to the White House. We were tired and hungry upon check-in and didn't want to leave the premise to look for a place to eat. We were both pleasantly surprised to discover the on-site restaurant at the front entrance. We checked in on a weekday and were able to get a table without a reservation. The restaurant had a French style bistro ambiance and the food and cocktails were delicious. Our reservation included a bottle of wine, which we didn't get initially and had to call in as a reminder. Right away staff apologized and sent up our bottle of wine. Overall, a pleasant experience and five stars for location.

The check-in and check-out process was quick and hassle-free, and everyone at the property was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, with easy access to all the museums and great food spots.

Super clean, very quiet, nice-sized room and bath. Wonderful, easily walkable central location close to the Metro. Friendly and customer-centric staff. The mattress felt like it was end-of-life (or needed to be rotated?), but the linens and topper made it comfortable enough. Don't bother with the in-room coffee, as it's pretty awful, but excellent fresh-brewed coffee is available in the lobby reception area. Overall, it was decent value for the price point, and I'd recommend it.

It was clean, and quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly. I liked the location because it was a few blocks from the national mall and restaurants. The only thing I recommend the hotel to do is to lower the beds in the ADA room because it was too high. Other than that it was a GREAT experience!

Tv wasn’t working correctly. No guide or menu function. Reported and was unable to resolve. That’s the only hiccup. The hotel and staff were amazing and if we return to DC we will be booking again

Everything was great, exceeded all expectations.

We were there for a day event and we were famished every night when we got home. He acted like we were lost when we came to see if we could get a seat and then the second night fully ignored us. Oh well… Otherwise everyone was so wonderful. Especially the guys at the reception desk and our housekeeper. Our room was cleaned so well when we came back every day. It was immaculate. And we always had fresh water stocked.

This property was incredible! The location, cleanliness, and attention of the staff was beyond expectations. The room was filled with amenities - hair dryer, iron, toiletries, water, cappuccino machine and the list goes on. The staff was super friendly and VERY helpful. The room was very clean and serviced every day. My only issue with the hotel was the cost of breakfast. We ate in the dining room one morning, I completely understand paying premium cost for a french meal but scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, oatmeal, and coffee should not cost $78.99. Not french eggs, not prepared a different way, no special oatmeal.. plain American food.. That was an unnecessary cost.

I left several nights early because I couldn't take it. This place is atrocious.

Great staff.

Hotel bed was very comfortable, room was clean, cleaning staff excellent, free waters daily and coffee. Refrigerator was present but not very cold. Water pressure not great. Location could not be better for attractions. Was central to most things we wanted to do. All in all it was a fantastic stay, we all enjoyed our time there.

Stuff nice , food good Bed very bad ( mattress super bad), very noise from out side and the restaurant make a lot of noise, black out very bad and mostly all ripped and the son woke me up at 5:30-6am
