    This was by far the worst hotel I ever been at more like a motel the place was dirty they claim it was because of renovations the pictures looked nothing like pictures on line. The rooms was very oily and slippery just by far an horrible experience

    Checking in, staff said couldn’t find reservations and basically walked away and left us standing there after we showed them the reservation, receipt of payment and itinerary number. Thankfully a manager happened walk up, heard our frustration and found the reservation immediately. We had traveled from Texas to New York so we were fairly panicked. After the manager got us set up everything went smoothly. The hotel lobby is beautiful.

    When we checked into the hotel, a security deposit was charged to our card. When we checked out, we were told that the deposit would be refunded within 5 days. It has now been over a month, and we still have not received our refund. We contacted the hotel, but the issue has not been resolved. This was very disappointing and unacceptable.

    location and beds A/C didn't work in our room was moved to another that wasn't much better. Was told that this room would have a pull out couch for the kids and it didn't. One child had to sleep on the floor. We have stayed here before and it was good but we were VERY disappointed this time around.

    Cons - We were required to pay an additional $150 deposit at check in (after prepaying for the reservation). This was not advertised on Hotels.com. It was too late to get another hotel, our flight had arrived late, our Lyft driver had left, and my child was exhausted, so I didn’t fight it. Our room was 213 - the hallway on that floor stank of backed-up sewage or something rotting. It was so severe we had to hold our breath to pass through the hallway to get to our room. I nearly got sick. There is no way the hotel don’t know about the stench - it was overwhelming. Our room smelled ok and was decently clean, but one of the towels was threadbare and had a brown streak (so we just used the clean one). I doubled checked the bed and linens - they were clean and fine. Again, my kid was exhausted and we were staying only one night, so we just went to sleep. We are supposed to get the $150 deposit back in 5 business days if the room is “clean” when we check out. However, our Lyft driver the next day said ownership had recently changed, so I’m doubtful. I took pictures of the room just in case. Pros - the breakfast staff was very kind and found fruit and juice for my daughter. The chocolate muffins were very good.

    The property was under construction but it did not affect my stay. The front desk was extremely helpful. The room was clean.
