Super 8 by Wyndham Chattanooga Lookout Mountain TN

Negatives: The room had a smoky smell every time you walked in even though it was a nonsmoking room. The hallway is poorly lit and it feels dated. The ceiling in the bathroom had large pieces of paint hanging off of it that were several inches big and the tub had black mold all around the seal, and I didn't want to bathe my kids in there. The breakfast area is very small and very limited and the waffle maker had food stuck in it and it was crowded. My kids looked at me and asked if we could eat somewhere else and they usually love a free hotel breakfast if it's at a Holiday Inn but this just couldn't compare. Overall, I would have changed hotels if we had been staying for more than one night.

Staff was awesome

There was a bedbug in the bed, and it bit me. I got rid of it and managed to sleep through the night; I think it was the only one. The room's carpet smelled like wet dog—they really should get rid of the carpet. But it wasn't a huge deal; it's a good place to crash when you're tired. The breakfast was excellent.

Overall nice hotel, but… it looked like someone had shaved sitting on the toilet and didn’t clean up.

Breakfast area and lobby were clean & neat. Booked a 3 night stay but true to unforseen circumstances as well as condition of room needed to check out 1 day early. Gave over 24 hour notice but still charged for 3rd night. Would not recommend

Awesome friendly staff, clean quiet room, nice and hot shower w clean towels, super comfortable beds and pillows! Would definitely stay again!

The whole building needs exterminated!

Very quiet area. Walmart nearby. Waffle House in parking lot with hotel. Slept great

He did finally give it back and now we’re off the a nice hotel. If you want a good experience somewhere you’ll not find it at Super 8. But if you’re hungry I’m sure there’s plenty of Indian food left. Ugh. Just horrible……

Clean room

Check in staff was helpful & friendly - check out morning staff was on a handheld phone during check out & in breakfast area and had no intentions in helping anyone with breakfast needs. Supplies for waffle maker was not available (non stick spray) one of two waffle makers had a burned mess stuck to it causing it to be unusable and no urgency for anyone to tend to it.

Cute place! Accommodating of baby and dog. (Although I had bring my own crib)

Stinky hall

The location was great right off I 24 with plentiful parking. The person at reception was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a waffle iron, muffins, juice and coffee. No protein, no fruit, no tea. Room was okay but old and sad. No luggage cart, no freezer in the fridge, no place to sit except for a desk chair. Definitely no frills accommodations.

I like the friendly staff and the room being clean

The carpet was very dirty. At night we got smell of smoke as well. We requested the front desk for fixing some of them but no one did.

It was clean and convenient to everything.

Breakfast sucked, was just waffles, muffin or toast. Coffee and juice. Oh and the water pressure for shower, well there wasn't any pressure.

Cleanliness staff was very friendly good air conditioning no coffee pot in the room but that was ok not a big problem I'd go back
