MainStay Suites Cincinnati University - Uptown

Front Desk Staff was super friendly and greeted us every time we walked thru the door. They were quick to solve the only issue we had. Which was only one bath towel for a room occupancy of 4 people. We all used one towel the first night, but the next morning the front desk gave us 3 more and apologized for the inconvenience. Only other thing was there was no hair dryer, so be sure to take your own. We didn’t HAVE to have one so it wasn’t a big deal for us. We felt safe because you had to have a key card to get in the front door or be buzzed in. They breakfast was good too. The staff that prepared the breakfast food was very friendly and helpful. If we visit Cincinnati again, we will stay here again.

The night staff was rude when we checked in. We waited at the door for awhile and she finally came from outside the building. She seemed mad we needed to check in. Morning staff were friendly but there was an altercation with a guest in the lobby that required the police be called.

Clean and comfortable, roomy with everything we needed for a longer stay although we were only there one night. Breakfast wasn't great and the food serving area is crowded, although the dining area is roomy

The property was clean, the amenities were ok, however the location and crime left us leaving after 1 day when my car window was busted out and the official word from the hotel was “oh yeah, really sorry”

Front desk staff was nice! Arrived to no toilet paper in the room, come to be told the whole hotel was out, but the staff member was luckily able to find a roll. The bottom mattress cover was noticeably stained, the shower needed a good rinse out, and after only 15 minutes or so of walking around barefoot, my feet were BLACK with dirt. I ended up having to use slippers the rest of the trip. Finally, I was asked on check in when we could like house keeping to come in. I selected day 2 of the 4 night stay. No one came on day 2, so I figured they were busy and would be by on day 3. Day 3 comes and still no housekeeping. At that point it was the night before check out so there really was no point.
