German Village Inn Columbus

Not as expected for being on HOTELS.com

A solid 7. Nice enough place to stay. The property is dated but decently maintained. Good value for the money especially when compared to the cost of other hotels in the Columbus area. The hotel’s location was outstanding. Located in a great neighborhood, walking distance to restaurants and bars. Area felt very safe.

Basic room, good location walking to everything in German Village.

It was ok for a one stay. The room was clean but nothing to brag about. It reminded me of a rooming hotel for longer than a month. Parking lot was small and there wasn't an elevator. Check in was easy but the front desk wasn't friendly nor rude, but sort of , dismissive with no eye contact or conversation. There was a 3k next day and couldn't leave after we checkoutbut there were places to walk to eat during the race.

As for the property, it clean no-frills. We stayed there several times before.

The exterior looked a little concerning (run down). Rooms were renovated, though. Motel manager behind a glass partition as if the area was a high crime area also was off-putting.

The room was infested with Earwigs, aka Pincher Bugs. They were in the bed, falling from the ceiling, and in the shower. We counted at least 15 in the one night we were there.

Parking was tight. Water from sink flowed into the tub due to a plumbing backup.

It was ok. The floor was scummy. I walked around with towels under my bare feet

Very run down. No lobby. Sketchy characters. Dirty rooms.

I'm giving you my answers based upon my past stays.... I was unable to stay based upon the request for my last visit.....

Shops were nearby in parking was very good.

Good stay for the money. Outside seemed worn, but rooms were clean. Simple room but great location to lay your head. We walked to dinner, German Village, ice cream and the beautiful park behind hotel. Area is very walkable, lots of people doing the same.

The cleanliness of the floor and noise of other vacationers.

Tv was not working was asking for a password we were not giving also keycard stopped working after one night.

The staff was cool, it was close to where I needed to be.

Friendly staff and great location!

It was walking distance from many local restaurants.
