Tru by Hilton Chapel Hill

This is our go to hotel when we are in the area. Great to also have access to pool at the Sheraton next door.

A great value for the money. Clean, well designed living space, bright sparkling white bathroom, and a wonderful expanded continental breakfast.

Everything was excellent except the toilet seat was loose. It was a handicap accessible room.

The property and rooms are clean. The location is great if you are visiting UNC-CH. The only negative was the breakfast did not have that many options in the mornings.

This is minimalism in a place to stay. My first experience with a"Tru" so I didn't know what I was getting. For example, there was there was no closet in the room--you have pegs on the walls and pipes for hanging clothes. The housekeeping is every other day! The floors are "luxury vinyl" and the light fixtures are industrial grade. Pets are permitted (a bit of a shocker ). It is a newer property which masks some of its limitations. So if you choose this place (and I guess this "brand" by Hilton)be prepared for a low cost experience. I would say for about $160/night you get what to pay for.

Very clean. The bed was ok, but not great. The big disappointment was the noise form the adjacent room. The neighbor had their TV up very loud on an off until 2:30 am (So loud that I could still hear it through earplugs). I tried to call the front desk to have them ask the occupants to turn it down, however, the front desk phone was unattended at 2:00am when I called. I was under the impression that night managers are meant to be available during the early morning hours. I would also suggest hotels to have some kind of volume limit on TVs so that they cannot disrupt the neighboring rooms. Especially during sleeping hours.
