Courtyard by Marriott Denver Golden/Red Rocks

Very clean and very nice people

Not the greatest Courtyard property I’ve stayed at. First of all, $8/night for parking? Next I know not cleaning daily is now a thing, especially in areas conserving water, but no signs at desk or in room or verbally expressed is just a pain in the sss. The “instructions “ are on the 2x2 planer I. Size 6 font. Had to go ask for clean towels on day 2 evening and the guy that had cooked our breakfast was working the front desk. I asked for 2 sets of towels, and he brought me 4 bath towels that he had to go upstairs to get. When he said is there anything else, I said yes, we need hand towels and wash cloths. He left in a huff to get them. It was a weekend and a full hotel. 2 concerts in town. How can you not be staffed properly?

Breakfast was ok, glad to have paid for it with the room rather than separately.

It's a decent hotel. The room and site were comfortable. I can't really pick on anything. We didn't feel anything particularly special when staying here. It was comfortable and within a few miles of Golden.

It was ok. Check in was smooth. Only there for one night. No pool.

Room smelled like fresh weed every day like it was coming in through the vents. Charged $8 per night to park in their parking lot and couldn’t even get a cup of coffee in the lobby. At this price per night you shouldn’t have to buy a cup of coffee for $5.

Convenient location. Great staff! Some road noise.

Staff was professional, helpful and positive; which made for a good experience. Property was clean and well maintained. Free breakfast and free paining was a great amenity. There were a few minor downsides for me. I didn’t like that the bathroom was only half private. The toilet and shower had a privacy door, but the sink area was not private. This can make things awkward if you need privacy such as after a shower. Another issues I had, again minor, was the remote was not intuitive. Although instructions were provided, the remote used toggles, rather than up and down volume and channel buttons; and the toggles weren’t labeled as such. And my final downside is, there was no microwave. Again, minor inconveniences, but it would have made my stay even better.
