Grove City Travel Inn Columbus South

The room people at the front desk were very kind and the property looked ok. Everything was outdated. The walls were paper thin and our neighbor blasted the tv all night but was blocked out from the very loud a/c unit. There were dead bugs on the inside of the room window sill. There was dried up urine around the toilet. The worst part was the smell. It smelled like you were huffing an ashtray. There were crumbs on the carpet, especially in the corners. I was afraid to look in the fridge and under the bed.

This was a wonderful stay for just getting a night sleep! The front desk and housekeeping staff were super nice and chill. The room itself was basic but seemed to have just been renovated! The wifi connection was pretty slow, so if you need to do work that requires a strong connection at the hotel, this one may not be for you! But overall it was a nice night!

It did not feel like a safe place to be staying. We forgot our slippers and walked on the carpet, which was so dirty it turned out feet black. I wanted to give my daughter a bath but the tub had a black ring and didn’t have a way to stop it up. The bathroom smelled of urine but there is a note up front letting you know there are no third party refunds. I put something in front of the door to block it while we slept.

That it didn’t suck. Unfortunately suffers from a very sketchy vibe.

Exceptional

We had a great stay! The rooms were so clean and welcoming, they took the extra steps into making it very homey, Rooms were just as pictures described and better, loved how they had the tv in a area with a wall background much better than a white wall or sitting on a dresser, the sheet were clean and they had a fitted sheet on the beds instead of the plain flat sheet that moves all night and between the sheets was a soft light blanket instead of that itchy blanket. No smells just a clean happy scent.We felt completely relaxed and safe there especially with it being my young daughter and myself. There was no noise at nighttime no slamming of doors just quiet and peaceful…Water pressure was excellent so we had a wonderful shower. Staff was amazing and very helpful and the cleaning lady was so cheerful and happy and was just plain great. We usually stay at the Hilton but this was much better. Keurig machine in room with pods ready to go. Will be staying there again while visiting my son. We enjoyed our stay and plenty of food places around and Walmart close by.

Was very disappointed. It was dirty in the bathroom had fecal matter around the toilet blood on the side of the wall. The bed was harder then a rock. Could only exchange towels before 1 o'clock. We weren't at the hotel much at all besides to sleep. It is a perfect location though right off the free way about 15 mins from city Columbus. Staff was good. Just wish it was cleaner in bathroom. For the price it was good.

Simple but clean. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Easy to find and plenty of restaurants and gas stations nearby. I just needed a place to sleep.
