The Campbell House Lexington, Curio Collection by Hilton

Beautiful entrance and reception area. Was given the keycard and room # to an occupied room. Having known the history of this hotel being considered haunted, needless to say opening the room door to find someone in the bed made a heck of a vacation story.

I spent 1 night but it was very comfortable and room was very spacious slept like a baby.

Stayed two nights for my son’s orientation at UK. Close location to campus and downtown Lexington. Nice property with clean and spacious rooms. Dined at on site restaurant our first night. The food was good and the staff friendly.

Staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. Old, old, old. The rooms apparently had a refresh but the refresh was poorly done. Painted over old worn walls and doors and door frames. Chips and cracks everywhere. Worse wall color made the room overly dark. Dark dirty carpet. The tub was clogged. Smelled like urine. I felt I was in a sleazy motel. This hotel is ruining Hilton’s reputation.

The rooms and hotel overall was very nice. My only wish is that all rooms had a mini fridge ours did not. Other than that the stay was. Ice.

Very Clean room, front desk was amazing! Breakfast the next morning at the Racking Horse was excellent; they need to work on their service. 9/10 I will stay there again

We’ve stayed in this hotel before and it’s very large. Perhaps it was the location of our room this time, which was in an older back hallway, that added to the less than desirable experience. The room was musty and smelled terrible. The entry door didn’t latch and needed to be locked to stay closed. The staff member who checked us in had the personality of cardboard. After waiting several minutes to check out, we just used the app - no one showed up. It’s decorated beautifully with great atmosphere and the restaurant was good, but overall didn’t measure up and not worth the $$. I’ll look elsewhere next time.
