The property was clean but my bed linen was dirty. I believe it was just a stain that didn’t come out in the laundry but I think they should get rid of those. They did changed it though. I stayed several days and I don’t believe they changed the linen everyday nor did they clean the bathroom. So the hotel and room was nice but the cleaning crew needs to do a better job.

We stayed 2 nights and the first night we received a phone call at midnight from the front desk that my vouchers were available for breakfast. I was furious that they called at midnight. They could have been slipped under our door. There was no need to call at midnight.

Comfortable room. Easy in and out. They wanted $35 plus tip to vallet park my car. That's a bit extreme considering I arrived at 8pm and left at 630 am.

Room was very clean and maintained well Did not realize when booking that the only parking was valet parking and the cost

The Holiday Inn Downtown Louisville was a pleasant experience. We were not in the room except to sleep but all the staff were very helpful and pleasant and made us feel welcome. The rooms were clean, clean and clean! Valet parking was a little pricey and we had a late check-in so it was necessary.

Several issues affected my stay. The upstairs guest balcony was closed, leaving only a street-level space where I was repeatedly approached by people asking for money and cigarettes. Restaurant operations were inconsistent, and I received conflicting information about opening times and room charges. The most serious issue involved duplicate charges on my card that remain unresolved. When I raised the issue, the manager told me I was “not the type of person they welcome” and “not their ideal guest.” After many years of business travel, I have never been spoken to that way. While the room was fine and many employees were kind, the billing issues and management’s comments overshadowed the positives. I hope the charges are corrected promptly and future concerns are handled more professionally.

The property is a lot smaller and on a cramped corner. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing overall. The room itself felt quite cramped, and there were several maintenance issues. The overhead light in the room did not work, and only two of the four lamps were functioning. My biggest concern was the interaction I had upon arrival with the valet attendant. When I pulled in, he immediately stated that the lot was full, despite there appearing to be several available spaces. I politely explained that I was checking into the hotel and had a reservation. He repeated that the lot was full. Wanting to understand the situation, I asked for clarification and specifically whether that meant I would not have parking despite having a reservation. He responded that wasn’t what he was saying. Since I still didn’t understand how parking was being handled, I asked again for clarification. At that point, he looked at me and said, “Actually, I don’t give a ****. Park where you want.” The interaction was strange and completely unprovoked. I was not being rude or argumentative—I was simply trying to understand the parking situation. Additionally, the entire first floor smelled strongly of marijuana. The odor was noticeable enough that it could be smelled from the third floor. I will say that the front desk clerk was polite and professional, which I appreciated. We were also able to hear loud aircraft noise throughout the night. To be fair, that is partly on me, as I was unfamiliar with Louisville and did not realize how close the hotel is to the airport. Overall, the combination of the poor first impression, maintenance issues, strong marijuana odor, and noise made for an unpleasant stay. While I appreciated the kindness of the front desk staff, I would not choose to stay here again.

It took a couple of trips around blocks in the area to find the hotel entrance. Very poor signage. When we arrived at 5pm there was absolutely no one to be found. There was another couple who had arrived 10 minutes before we arrived. We waited ab15 minutes for someone to be at the desk. The person was very nice. Then we decided to have dinner in the restaurant there. We went there at 6pm and again, no one on sight. Went to the desk clerk and asked where the restaurant staff were hiding. She didn’t know and said for us to go and have a seat in the empty eatery. A few minutes later a person arrived. They were all very friendly.

Shower was terrible and no parking was valet only.

For one night - the best choice

Didn’t like anything about that hotel

Friendly staff The room had a musty cigarette smoke like odor. We added breakfast to our stay and chose this hotel because they had a hot breakfast. However, it opened late due to the one staff member who works breakfast having an emergency, which we understand. However, we had to leave no later 7 and the replacement did not arrive until 6:45am (supposed to open at 6am). There way no way we would have had enough time for her to open, and for us to order and eat. The front desk did rectify the situation by saying they would issue us a refund in amount of breakfast, so we were grateful for that. Just disappointed that the hotel only employs one breakfast staff member and we chose this location for a food breakfast and could not eat.

Excellent hotel! Highly recommended!

When looking at the property before booking I did not notice that there wasn't any onsite self parking only valet. There is a parking garage about a block away. This is the only negative which was balanced out by the excellent price per night.

When arriving, they tried to charge $36 per night for parking and force valet parking. After showing my Expedia reservation "free parking" they waived the fee. Also gave us two free drink cards. We paid extra and reserved a premium room with queen bed. They tried to give us a very small non-premium room with a twin size bed, saying it was their premium room (AC not working in that room). After talking with desk staff, they gave us a room with a king sized bed. Room was not very clean. Hair in the shower (not ours), bug on the wall/floor and comforter had odd stains. Girl friend wanted to leave. We should have.

Check in seemed smooth with no issues, gave my ID and signed paperwork. checked in at 10 pm to stay local before my son’s procedure the next morning. Started getting calls at 1 am asking if I still needed my room. Front desk checked me in under someone else name. When I went to check out my reservation could not be found, they had someone else’s name connected to my room with the other information being mine, phone number, address, etc. When I checked out I was charged $20 for parking after I booked my room with the parking pass, but was still charged because they couldn’t find my booking because the names were changed in the system.

Wasn't able to secure parking AND breakfast. Had to chose between the 2, so we paid for breakfast and parked on the street for free since it was Sunday evening and paid for the meter via the parking app at 7am. We refused to pay $36 for valet.

We didn't like the lack of parking. The restaurant was a big disappointment. There were signs up saying they has a full service restaurant. But when we went in the first thing we were told was there were no buns for hamburgers. There wasn't a big selection anyway. So we ordered chicken wings and salad. But no salad . But The restaurant was set up very nicely. When we went down for coffee the next morning....no creamer. The staff was friendly but not overly concerned about the shortages except for the waitress. She was very embarrassed to have to say no to our requests. We always stay with Holiday Inn when traveling and have always been pleased until this time.

The room was fine, but small. The restaurant wasn’t great. The people were nice and helpful.
