Holiday Inn Express NYC Chelsea – NoMad Area by IHG

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

Clean room and lobby.

On my arrival at the property, my first experience with the receptionist, Jenni, was very poor, she didn't not greet, her mood was poor and seem disinterested and not happy with her job. She was argumentative and never took responsibility of her mannerisms. However, the rest of the staff were great.

Location, friendly staff, breakfast,cleanliness Elevator was broken and take long time

Rooms cleaned daily, your basic Holiday Inn breakfast, water pressure was meh, one ice machine on the first floor.

Proximity to purpose of stay. Congested breakfast area, beds not comfortable

Perfect location in midtown and good breakfast There were no cinnamon rolls on the breakfast buffet. That's one of the reasons we book Holiday In Express.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were neat, clean, and well maintained. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, bottled water, cookies, and beer during specific hours, which was a nice bonus. Its location is excellent—just a short walk from Penn Station, Moynihan Train Hall, and Madison Square Garden. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and attentive throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

During our stay, we received texts from the staff asking about how our stay was going and whether the staff could do anything more for us. That has not happened in our other hotel stays, and certainly not in a moderately priced chain hotel like the Holiday Inn Express. Breakfast was free and contained the usual offerings, but a cut above in variety. The location on 29th between 7th and 8th Ave was perfect for walking to nearby restaurants.

I’m a happy with this hotel

Paid extra for high floor, but it’s a very short building so the high room was of no benefit. Dirty used cup in my bathroom. When we got to room to check in door was propped open with a sheet. Found housekeeping on the floor and asked if room was ready and told her about sheet. She said room was ready and said something about towels and grabbed sheet and left. Hallways smelled musty. Rooms are tiny.

The rooms are much nicer than the lobby. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast one of the days was really, really good. You can borrow a bike and helmet from the front desk. Really great area to explore. I would stay here again.

The staff was excellent. I can't say enough how courteous they were, and they were consistently very nice to everyone. We dropped our bags off before check-in, and it was seamless. They provided little bottles of water throughout the entire time we were there. They helped us schedule a airport shuttle for a 3am pick-up that we wouldn't have known about had we not asked! One morning we were running behind, and they very kindly asked if we were done so that they could put the breakfast items away. Very polite, helpful, went above and beyond -- thank you! Lastly, this little IHG is a diamond with being one block away from MSG. The ice machine was on the lobby floor and it typically took 20 minutes to get ice from the 11th floor. That said, it's NYC, so standing, waiting and inconveniences is all part of the trip experience.

Great location, great staff and good experience overall. Rooms a bit small for bigger families (3+), but other complementary goodie’s made it a great stay for my NYC trip.
