Hotel St. James

So classic, quaint, and convenient. I will stay again.

I stayed for 1 night. I was not able to sleep because someone outside the hotel was playing his boombox loud all night. However, the hotel is closed to Time Square so it is convenient.

Stayed two nights, one of the best launching off points for Times Square and the Theater District. Hotel room was spacious, did not expect a table along with two chairs! Hotel staff friendly & helpful. Would stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!

A nice hotel with great character

Hotel is older and as expected in NYC everything is claustrophobic. The room was clean and basic. Exactly what was needed for a night in the city and enjoying broadway.

I look forward to staying again on the future!

Location of hotel was great. Just 2 minutes from Times Square. Everyone at the hotel were very helpful & very friendly 👍

Location is unbeatable. Any value to this hotel is the location. The staff was extremely helpful to me and exceeded my expectations by facilitating my ride to the airport after check out. The physical appearance and mood of this hotel is depressing. It is very old, and obviously was once a small, smart place to stay in New York. There are no facilities at all: no coffee, not even a bowl of candy anywhere. My room was bare of any ornamentation, not a bottle of water, not a closet, but clean and adequate. Very meh!

Great location for theatre, dining and shopping. A bit worn at the edges, but retains enough early-mid 20th century grace that that’s part of the charm - and makes it an affordable choice in a prime location. Could use a chair in the room, bed only sitting surface.

Rooms could Use a mini fridge or Ice Buckets for drinks.

Perfect location for a great price. Small older hotel but rooms and bathroom were very clean. It sits next to a really fun pub.

Would have appreciated a kettle in the room

Clean and the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Close quarters but I didn’t hear any guests and there was no nonsense. Great location. I usually stay at Marriott but this was much less expensive and a perfect place to stay while you’re busy discovering the city

This hotel is right next to Times Square so for the price the location is excellent. Check in was easy and there was a lift. The room was basic, we were at the front of the building so it was very noisy right through the night so make sure you have eat plugs. The air conditioning was also noisy we switched ours off to sleep. Overall great location and the staff were very helpful.

Well located property but very dated. No central a/c and no refreshments of any kind.
