Mandatory $40/day "Destination Fee" is just a scam to inflate the effective room rate. Shameful practice for a Marriott property.

The hotel offered very limited food and beverage options, and there was no room service available, which was inconvenient during our stay. The property itself could benefit from updates and modernization. I do want to recognize the gentleman who checked us in, as he was very friendly and welcoming. Additionally, the two concierge team members were helpful and professional, although I unfortunately cannot remember their names. One area that could be improved is communication in the restaurant. During breakfast, we were not informed that a breakfast buffet was available. Since we were in a hurry, the buffet would have been a much better option for us. Instead, we ordered from the menu and ended up waiting quite a while for our food, which caused unnecessary delays. My biggest concern is that I noticed a charge of $137.70 on my credit card after checkout. I am not sure what this charge is for. I have called the property several times seeking clarification, but I have been unable to reach a person and only seem to interact with an AI or automated system. I would appreciate someone from the hotel contacting me to explain this charge. Overall, while some staff members were OK, the lack of amenities, outdated facilities, limited dining options, and unresolved billing issues left us unhappy.

The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely polite. I like how you can’t use the elevators unless you have a room key.

It was awesome- thanks! Only downside being the late night noise from Times Square but that’s what you sign up for when you want to be at the heart of it all.

I had a wonderful experience. The location, staff, and amenities were excellent!

Great breakfast! Gift shop inside hotel had lots of souvenirs and gifts for the whole family. We chose the hotel because of its close proximity to Times Square and the subway. Second trip to Marriott Marquis and it was great, as usual.

Very pleasant stay. The hotel was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!
