Easy to load in from our parking spot out front. Front desk gal went over and above to help us get into our room smoothly with our autistic, nonverbal son.

I am requesting assistance regarding my current hotel reservation at the Residence Inn by Marriott Rockford on Colosseum Drive. Upon arrival, the door to my assigned room was partially open, which raised immediate security concerns. After reporting this to the front desk, I discovered additional issues within the suite that have impacted my stay. These include cracked kitchen flooring, a sink that drains into the dishwasher causing flooding when water is used, and unstable dining furniture. I reported these concerns to hotel management and was advised that, because the reservation was booked through Expedia, any request for compensation or refund would need to be handled through Expedia directly. I am attaching photo documentation of the issues for reference. I am currently in town for work and continuing my stay due to scheduling obligations. However, given the condition of the room and the disruption caused, I am requesting a partial refund or credit for the affected nights. Thank you for your assistance and for reviewing this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Kendrick Farris Hotel: Residence Inn by Marriott Rockford Check-in Date:January 7th

There is a strip club next to the hotel, and my husband went to dump some garbage that we had in a dumpster outside and he told me that there was a man getting oral pleasure from a woman by the dumpster! Thank goodness he did not bring our grandson out there with him. With regard to the hotel itself, the suites are separate from the building with the pool so if it’s cold outside, you have to bundle up to go to the pool. But the pool is quite cold and so is the room that the pool is in so it’s hardly worth it. The pool itself is small so if you’re bringing several children, it’s not worth it. The quality of the furniture inside of the suite was old and worn, particularly the dining room table, which looked like it had had been used, possibly for prostitution. The legs were ready to give out, and the table itself was very worn. They were not enough pots and pans of reasonable sizes in the kitchen itself and we had to go out and get a lot of our own kitchenware like a decent spatula and some steak knives. The one good thing in the room was a fireplace. It’s a wood fireplace. The rooms themselves are very clean, but as I said, it’s right next to a strip club, there are sketchy people outside in the parking lot at night, and I’m sure that they bring it inside the hotel from time to time. Will probably encourage my family in Rockford to come closer to the western suburbs of Chicago next time.
