Canopy by Hilton San Antonio Riverwalk

Overall, the staff inside was friendly and the attached restaurant was fantastic. Valet was very unfriendly. It is $70 a day for valet. When I chose not to use valet, they walked away . I unloaded my vehicle and left my wife with the bags in front of the hotel. I went to park and when I returned they had left her standing on the sidewalk. Another guest opened the door for her so she could bring the bags in herself. Very unprofessional.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was super helpful and the rooms were clean.

After checking in somewhat late Thursday night, we walked up to a dirty room. Not just a little dirty, there were used cups, towels, a messy bed, and feces covering the toilet. It was absolutely disgusting and set a bad tone for the rest of the night/trip. I felt gross about everything I touched after that. They offered a $50 credit toward breakfast, but that feels so minimal for spending $200+ on a room and the $18 location fee to walk into a nasty room.

The restaurant Domingo did not have a functioning card reader. I was told by the hostess that I would have to fill out a form which would be used to input the charge at midnight. I indicated to one of the servers that I intended to pay cash. I was told that would work until it didn’t. No putting it on the room, no cash. I gave my card to the server to be hand copied. I was asked if I was given a voucher. Was that the $300 put on my card on check in? Who knows. The next day still no card reader. Even in the small restaurants in Campeche they have more than one card reader. So, my card number was in a stack of other card numbers for anyone to read. No water in the room. It had to be asked for. No safe.

The area of its location. There is no swimming pool or on-site parking available. The daily valet charge was excessive.

The restaurant and bars had their computers down, according to staff, for two days. Each waiter offered to write down my credit card information for processing if I chose to dine with them. Yea, no.

Perfect location with beautiful views right on the river walk. The restaurant was delicious, the hotel room and shower were fantastic Cobblestone streets out front and floor to ceiling windows make it for a very loud weekend evening

Overall the property was nice and aesthetic, the beds were comfy and the rooms served us really well. I would likely stay again if I ever revisit.
