There is no elevator. The on-site restaurant does not open for early morning travelers. The staff was rude.

Great staff, clean rooms, best diner style breakfast in San Diego

It was very clean. The rooms were comfortable. The pool was great for the kids and the restaurant on site was delicious and convenient. Not to mention the staff was very nice and accommodating. It was a really good place to spend a few nights.

Affordable place to stay and easy access to the MTS in front of the hotel for easy travel on the bus. Would stay agsin. They have a good small restaurant on site called waffle spot which had good food.

It was clean , safe and beds were comfy. No microwave in your room, but there is a fridge.

If you just need a bed to sleep in, this gives you what you need. The room was clean but there is noise from the freeway. This is not luxurious, but we got a great rate and got a bed for the night.

The property was immaculate, the rooms were fresh and clean. Just proves that you don't have to go to a major chain to get a great stay.

The pool and hot tub was a definite plus and the 10% discount at the King's waffle was also great! Food was very good. Very clean rooms and great staff!

Cool retro look, friendly staff, clean room. Heater didn’t work and a light sewer odor from shower drain.

Interesting motif, but is worth it. The place is clean, the amenities are great, 2 restaurants on site, a gym, guest laundry, and all reasonably priced, even for parking.

Great stay! Parking is normally available right outside the room which is super helpful. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it was super inviting. The waffle spot restaurant is located inside the lobby and perfect for a quick bite. The bathroom was a little cramped but the room itself was very spacious. Price was pretty good in comparison to other places around. Would definitely stay again!

The Kings Inn could use a deep cleaning along with a face lift. When I walked into the lobby, I experienced an unpleasant smell. The elevator was off-limits to guests, unless accompanied by housekeepers. The $15 parking fee (no security present in lot) coupled with boisterous neighboring room guests were noteworthy. At 1am, the desk clerk relocated me to a much quieter room. The furniture in my guest room wasn't in good shape. This motel is nearby various fast food outlets along with a shopping center, across the freeway, that featured a very well-provisioned 2-story Target.

This reminded me of a motel/hospital. The bathroom especially looked just like a hospital bathroom. There was a smell of mildew that hits you as soon as you walk in the tiny room, and although it's supposed to be a retro vibe, it just feels old. I'm not sure how it's rated so high.

The location was good, close to everything we wanted to see. The restaurant was very good, enjoyed our meals. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Parking was good, no charge.
