The resort was excellent! My family and I typically stay in a condo on the beach, however, this time we opted to stay off of the beach for financial reasons, and we couldn’t have been happier with Mission Bay Resort. The room was spacious (two queen bed room), and clean. The food at the restaurants felt pricey, however, the food was delicious! The pool didn’t have a typical hotel feel of a small square and was very kid friendly. It was very close to Sea World and only about 3-4 miles to Belmont park. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We truly had such a great experience and will be back again!

Resort is beautiful over all with views of the bay. However, when we arrived he bed sheets and blanket were dirty but since it was past midnight and we were tired we isn't make a fuss about it. Also the kids pool and spa eas dirty. Not sure if the filter was working for those. Besides that everything else was awesome, friendly staff. Love the activities, amenities to rent beach chairs etc. That's why I give it a 4/5.

Nice place to stay.

Staff were super friendly and helpful! So many things to do, I didn’t even get to enjoy them all! The dock activities was awesome. Ice machine broken on our floor, inconvient, but very small issue. No complaints! And centrally to lots of other places and beaches!! Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful and peaceful property and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Really enjoyed our stay.

Older resort, overall an okay stay. Room could have been maintained/cleaned better.

Pool and hot tub and walkway around bay were so convenient right outside our queen studio! Nothing!

From the moment we arrived they were very welcoming. Property very clean and great food. We had our 13 year old son and he had a blast from swimming, meeting new friends, playing basketball and enjoying the access to the beach. It was simply amazing.

Family friendly and nice dining options for kids

We have stayed here before, good location, clean rooms, great staff.

Beautiful and well maintained ground. The staff are nice and friendly. We booked a Villa on the Miramar bldg overlooking the bay and the sidewalks of the bay and it was soo beautiful. The Cove restaurant is facing the beach with a beautiful view. Highly recommend for families and couples! It’s worth it!!

The property is beautiful, and my top-floor room had a great view. The resort generally looks like the photos, although the grounds felt much smaller in person than expected. Check-in was disappointing. I arrived early and waited about 15 minutes to be helped despite being the only guest in line. It appeared staff were being trained during the process, which made the experience feel disorganized. I was also surprised by the $40 early check-in fee if a room was available. I knew about the $46 daily resort fee before arriving, but I didn’t feel the included amenities (Wi-Fi, pool towels, pickleball and tennis courts, etc.) justified the cost. The on-site dining was expensive. One mimosa and two shrimp tacos with no sides came to nearly $50 after tax and tip. Service was also slow, and I waited about 10 minutes to be seated on a Thursday morning with very few guests around. The room was nice overall, but there was leftover takeout food in the refrigerator from a previous guest. The bathroom was extremely small, and bottled water in the room cost $8 per bottle. One bright spot was the employee working in the coffee shop. I didn’t get her name, but she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provided the best customer service I experienced during my stay. Beautiful views, but the service, housekeeping oversight, food prices, would make me choose a different property in the future.

Very close to San Diego Seaworld and airport. Pool was very nice and huge

However, the soundproofing in the guest rooms leaves much to be desired; noise from adjacent rooms is audible. Since my room was near the main entrance, I was frequently woken up by the loud sound of the door opening and closing—despite having specifically requested a quiet room beforehand. I didn't ask to switch rooms because I only discovered the issue after fully unpacking for the night and didn't want the hassle, though I felt it was worth mentioning. Additionally, apart from the front desk staff, the service attitude of the other hotel employees was quite cold. Overall, setting these details aside, the hotel is decent, and the facilities are comprehensive and convenient.

Do not stay here! The pictures are deceiving. The rooms smelled like mold and wet dog. Our family checked out within hours of checking in. The worst part is the Director “Grant” kept dodging communication from Expedia for a refund after I was guaranteed one at the front desk when leaving. I still have yet to receive a refund for the hotel fees paid in person. All around awful experience and not worth the energy.
