It’s a small, cute room. Good condition. Mini-fridge and AC were good. No coffee maker. The bathroom was really small with no counter space. I had a room with a queen bed and 2 twin beds. The queen bed was comfortable but squeaky. The twin beds less so. Clean.

Room was very clean and comfortable. We did not spend a lot of time in the room aside from sleeping.

However, we spent a little over $500 for 3 nights here, and I honestly felt like it was not worth the money. The room and bathroom were all pretty clean, so we had no complaints there. But the AC in room 8 needs to be serviced or something, as it leaves a weird musty smell in the room as it runs. The fact it worked was good, but the musty humidity it gave off made it feel weird to be in the room. Also, showering was a nightmare. It would take forever for the shower to warm up. But when it finally did, it would stay burning hot to where you could barely stay in the water without burning yourself. If I turned it any colder the shower would just turn off. The area was kinda iffy too. I know its Santa Monica, but its kinda tough to get parking depending on the time of day, and its smack right in front of a Jack in the Box. Overall it was a decent stay but it wasn't worth the money in the end.

I’ll start by saying the place is under renovation so you’re a little thrown off by checking in outside a window in the parking lot after pushing the ring doorbell but it wasn’t terrible. Overall, the room was clean, the AC worked perfectly, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We weren’t prepared to haul all our luggage up a steel staircase but that’s on me for reading no elevator. We booked the room with 1 queen and 1 twin for my husband, 14yo, and I and were displeased to see the “queen” in room 11 is actually a full or double. We brought this to the attention of the front desk and she insisted that it’s listed as a queen. We did tell her the headboard appears to match the actual queen in Room 10 where friends of ours were located but the mattress itself is not a queen like theirs. She informed us that’s how it’s listed so I figured it’d only be right to make sure to let others know what I wish I had known which was to ask for any other room but room 11. Great location, the staff we met was nice, and it’s right across from a Jack in Box and walking distance to a Walgreens which is convenient. We also were able to walk to Santa Monica Pier but know it’s a hike (just under a mile).

Bed was supposed to be a queen size but was a double. No bed side table on one side of bed. No clock. Freezer was frosted over. Room was extremely small and not worth the price. Would never stay there again.

Had discussion with Julia whus is a newer co-owner of the property. They are working hard to update this older property. It's got some good practical things going for itself. Before staying there, I suggest you check with her to see if they were able to work out the parking situation.

When we stayed there last weekend, they were running renovation outside and in some rooms. We did not see the "kitchen" area like the picture; it may be in the courtyard where we did not go. Overall, the room was clean and sufficient. But don't expect much extra space in the bathroom/shower area. Parking was also limited in front of the place; we needed to find street parking nearby.

The location was convenient to go to LMU. The room (maybe the carpet) smelled like a wet dog and we had to leave the window open the whole time.

Clean Safety and location

Property is being renovated, mostly the office and grounds. It clean and safe. Also small, maybe a dozen rooms. Parking is next to the rooms but not sufficient for a full house.

They have a lot of work to do No ice machine . No staff on site after 10pm. Not enough parking on site for all guests - use street at night Area is centrally located to freeways , but nothing around and I would not walk around at night - drive to everything The staff was sweet beyond belief ! But only so much they could do . I wish them best in renovations

The location was also less appealing than I anticipated, as the motel is situated in an alley-like area that felt somewhat uninviting. Overall, the stay was adequate, but it wasn’t a place I would choose to stay at again.
