I booked the hotel 7 months in advance to get there and find out they had given my room away . The hotel manager was very sympathetic and arranged another hotel for us . But we booked this particular hotel due to location and ended up being miles away 😟

We enjoyed the great location to downtown and the Lincoln Presidential Museum & Library. We slept well and the building was quiet at night. The breakfast was adequate. Cons: Sketchy neighborhood, No towels were in our room when we arrived and we had to go retrieve them from the front desk after two attempts. No one is always covering the front desk.

Good value hotel, nothing fancy but convenient downtown location with comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a good breakfast.
-
Nice stay, close to the Lincoln Library.

Location The room smelled like smoke. I damn near fell in the shower and I'm pretty sure the front desk attendant stole my credit card information. The only thing good about the place was the location. Will not stay at again.

Convenient location to many historical sites. Relatively clean and the odd smell was recent paint or touch-up. Even though the power was out for an hour after we arrived the guy checking us in handled it great even when others were angry about the situation. Seemed like housekeeping could have been a little more through. Entering the room we noticed a full trashcan, spots missed with vacuum, quite a bit of dust (bathroom sink, headboards). What bothered me the most, I always thought housekeeping was supposed to come clean up when you checked out or if asked. I'm glad we don't keep valuables in the room when we travel. We left for a few hours and when we got back they had been in the room and moved several items.

Proximity to the fairgrounds. I didn’t dislike anything about the property.

Good for a one night stay with kids. The hotel had an odd smell (like a senior citizens building?). I couldn’t exactly place it, but other than that-one night -nothing went terrible wrong with our stay.

Superb

Our room was clean as were the rest of the hotel, the continental breakfast was adequate.

The Carpenter Street Hotel was within walking distance of the Lincoln Museum. Parking was free to guests and so was breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the price was very reasonable. We would stay there again.

The hotel is older and has a musty smell. The towels were old and worn out.
-
Good location Breakfast was a Joe. Stale bagels. Cream cheese bad. The shower in my room did not drain and smelled bad.
-
The location is nice. The room had wet carpet and felt like a moist room overall (needs a dehumidifier). The charging port on the lamp didn't work. We couldn't move the blinds up or down. The room had a very bad odor. Breakfast was terrible as well. Outside our window was a fence and yard tools. Not a good room or pleasant experience. Would've switched hotels if we didn't get there so late & were exhausted.

Very basic. Smells musty. Needs updating. Good price and close to Lincoln sites
