We had a great stay. The room was nice. The staff was great. Breakfast was good. Was a nice walkable location.

Just can’t beat the ocean views from the balcony, room was clean, beds were clean, breakfast was delicious! Rooms were nicely updated in style and decor, definitely a good price for a very nice room with ocean front balconies! $20 to park in the on site parking garage when the Hampton inn oceanfront north has a free parking lot for guests is a bit ridiculous. Beds weren’t the softest but not the hardest either.

Fantastic and will come back again

The property is convenient. I don’t have to worry about the parking situation to enjoy the beach when the hotel provides beachfront rooms. It was at a whim getaway but well deserved.

However, there were several issues with the room cleanliness and maintenance. The floors did not seem properly cleaned, and since we were traveling with children, we ended up cleaning them ourselves. In the bathroom, the toilet paper roll was already partially used, although there was an extra roll available. There was also no shampoo in the shower dispenser — only body wash and conditioner. I reported the missing shampoo in the evening through the front desk, and the staff member informed me that it would be taken care of the next day. However, this request was not followed up on and the information was not passed on to the next shift, so nothing was delivered. Additionally, the toilet was leaking during our stay and we had to resolve the issue ourselves. Overall, the staff was friendly, but communication between shifts and housekeeping standards could be improved.

Rooms were clean. However, there was a stain in the seat of one of the chairs that obviously could not be removed. We were offered another room which we gladly took! Staff was very gracious in quickly resolving the matter. Breakfast was good and the ocean view was outstanding!

The room was clean and comfortable. The towels were soft and fluffy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ocean view from our balcony was spectacular!! The doors are very heavy and hard to open. The sliding glass door in our room was super hard to open. I actually had sore arm muscles after our stay. The only other things I didn't like was the lack of low sugar or carb selections at the continental breakfast.

Hotel was very nice; location was excellent to surrounding activities. Downside did have to pay additional fees to park in hotel parking garage. Hotel did have a water issue the first night of stay where the water was shut off for a short time. Room was clean with the exception of housekeeping didn't vacuum/sweep the floors on a daily basis. We did have an issue with our room refrigerator, but the evening maintenance man quickly rectified the situation. My major complaint with the room was the bed frame was larger than the mattress and boxspring, so it stuck out further which caused a tripping hazard. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

How close it was to the beach and how clean it was The only thing is that there was isn’t option for people who don’t get beef or pork. No turkey bacon or anything like that. But other then that the breakfast was amazing

The room was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. There was a good variety of things to eat each day. And, overall, the building was clean. The staff did an excellent job. I have always stayed here for the past 4 years. Well, I did not know that the cost of parking had gone up to $20/day.

My family and i took a short 48 hour weekend trip to Virginia Beach. This was my first time ever going to Virginia Beach as well as my toddlers first experience of the beach. We had a wonderful stay at the Hampton inn. The rooms were clean but of course i still did my own additional cleaning however i did not find anything outrageously dirty. The breakfast was ok, we mainly had waffles and cereal every morning. Overall i give the hotel a 9/10. The indoor pool was the only thing we did not like. We will be staying here again in the future

Staff was rude and not very helpful at all. Was on their phones mostly all the time.
