Hotel AKA West Palm

I love this property. It is always my favorite in West Palm. The team is always so helpful and accommodating. I was recently there for a birthday stay and everyone made it an elevated and memorable trip for my friend. I will definitely be returning for another trip.

The placement of the facilities for not being directly on the beach. Offered complimentary convenience. The night male concierge is a great member to aka. 40$ fees for holding onto your ticket; 20$ fees for misplacing it in the garage. Thats robbery & inequality if someone is visiting it shouldn't be any morethan 8$ to use the garage for such limited convenience & limited time visiting. Garage needs another level or 2.. pool could have been deeper along with a jacuzzi or fountain since more people come to drink & sunbathe. My room i was staying in flooded in the living area from the dish water 1/2 of my 7d stay which resulted in chores,bad odor and not worth the value paid. I don't like housekeeping attitudes either.

Stayed here for business and decided to extend my stay since it was so nice. Great rooms and the pool was dope! Also the front desk manager Dimitri was amazing and was able to easily shift my accommodations for my extended stay. I personally watched him deliver top tier service to multiple guests. I will certainly be back for business and personal reasons!

The room is spacious and the staff are really helpful. Beware there is no free parking, only valet and finding any parking around the hotel is hard.

This has become one of my favorite places to stay for the area. It's location is convenient, I love the credit for the market cafe, the hotel staff are very friendly, it smells great. I don't think I've taken full access of other benefits that the hotel offers, like the bikes or the other local transportation offers. It has become my go to place to stay when I'm in town.

The AKA is very centrally located for downtown WPB - if you are just a business traveler who will never be in the room this might be a good choice. I have stayed here for work twice, and although the location is very convenient. The AKA feels way more like a dorm than a "elevated" or "luxury" hotel - two words that are used frequently on the website. The rooms have vinyl floors that have seen better days, They look warmer and more wood toned on the website photos but in reality they are grey. Like the rest of the hotel. The rooms have no area rugs (also shown in the images online) which is fine nomally but there is not a single soft surface in these rooms other than the bed, so you feel like you are in an echo chamber. The finishes are all cheap and plasticy and the bathrooms are institutional - with scratchy towels to boot. The housekeeping staff leaves at 5p so if you need anything after then it will not happen. On the positive side the Blind Monk is awesome and the Market is great - the food establishments are about 3 tiers higher than the hotel - as if they are completely mismatched to one another. This is a 3 star hotel not a 4 - the website photos are very deceiving - warm light and sunsets do a lot for a photo. Also note that many of the rooms have kitchens in them that are literally in the room. So if you don't want to sleep with appliances (or get up in the middle of the night to cover the microwave light so you can sleep) then request a non kitchen room.
