Hotel Ballast Wilmington, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Hotel needs a refresh seemed out of date with other hotels. Location and staff were great.

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel (and comfy beds) We walked to the Darius concert via the river walk. Close to many restaurants and shops. Everyone was so accommodating.

The ice machine was broken

I really like this hotel. We’ve stayed here at least six times in the last six years. It’s not the most welcoming of hotels on the facade, but it’s modern, clean, orderly, and they do their best to maintain it despite being right there on the unforgiving salt water. The staff has been great, helpful, friendly. The valets even remember my husband from previous visits. The restaurant is somewhat better than a lot of chain hotels’ food. The outdoor patio space is very attractive: comfortable, well-appointed, and able to accommodate many different groups and couples at once. And the price is generally VERY reasonable. It’s a good value.

This property has gone downhill significantly in the last few years. I wouldn’t return since there are nicer options within that price range.

I don't know the history of this hotel, but it definitely presents as a renovated old hotel. Dirty throughout the hallways and in our room. Room was moldy smelling and if I had been staying any more than one night I would have asked for a refund and went to a different hotel. The location is great which is why I booked. Just not a great place for allergy sufferers.

Love Hotel Ballast on the riverfront. Its Close to Live Oak pavilion, restaurants, and shopping. The property is well maintained and staff is super friendly. Great stay.

It just needs to be refurbished and amenities brought back No service, amenities

my room did NOT have air conditioning and the maintenance staff was unable to fix that, when i asked for another room i was told there no rooms available. The staff did not try to assist me in finding another hotel in Wilmington that was part of the Hilton Tapestry or any other accommodations. My weekend vacation, which included concert tx and dinner reservations; ended before it even got started as i was unable to find a place to stay . The Hotel Manager (Ronnie Salameh) was rude and acted as if he was the one that was inconvenienced....i used to stay here all the time....but something must have changed this year....i will NEVER book at the Ballast again.

Notba bad stay over all! The view of the river was amazing rooms are older but clean! We'd go back.

The pool was nice and the location was central to the downtown area.

Great location and views Carpets were not clean. Service was just ok. Crowded dated lobby.

Location No refrigerator in the room

Bed needs replacing, vanity light didn’t work, window on the exterior was filthy-it’s a wonderful location however.

The only place I will stay in Wilmington. Perfect location. Perfect amenities. And the staff is extremely helpful and kind.

We were able to check in early which was so nice with a mid day wedding to attend...Rooms were nice and clean...Updated bathrooms...Delicious breakfast before departure. Great location for walking to food or drinks...Nice on premises parking.

I liked that there was a nice restaurant right at the hotel, the pool was clean and nice and I loved the river walk right there by the hotel.
