Quality Inn Cedar Rapids South

We walked in and checked in for 5 minutes. Looks nothing like the pictures. There is a sign on the front door to “protect” the employees that there isn’t much cash on premises. Everything was dirty and dark. We left and never came back. I can’t believe the good reviews this place has unless people just don’t care about what neighborhood they’re staying in. We did not feel safe at all. Smallest and darkest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room.

We were booked into a handicapped room, which I specifically did not select and there was nothing else available. The hotel room that we were assigned smelled like stale urine and the toilet was broken. The public restroom next to the lobby was Out Of Order. The only positive thing about this place was the front desk attendant (this review platform will not allow me to add her name). She was friendly and courteous and she did an excellent job in helping us get a refund from Expedia. I think the management team has put her in a terrible position. Do Better.

I had hair on my sheets and the rooms were not clean. The area was sketchy and pretty sure the people by us were doing drugs, you could smell it and it had that atmosphere. I'd never recommend staying there.

Property was close to a lot of things I visiting restaurants and stores. Property was unclean but not terrible.

Hotel is ok for a night stay. The room i have you cannot control the A/C and its not cold. You can hear ppl talking in the hall.

Beds were super comfy. Breakfast was limited and the juice machine was out of order. Property was very clean and staff very friendly.

The staff was all very professional and kind. The location was perfect as it was a little over a 2 mile walk to the start of the marathon, which is why I was staying there. It was extremely quiet in the hotel, the bed was super comfortable and the room was very cool for a hot humid Iowa day. The staff doesn't seem to communicate with each other. I asked the attendant Christine, who I checked in with for a late check out explaining I could not check out by 11am as the marathon started at 7am and with the heat and humidity I probably would not be under 4 hrs. I requested 12pm and was granted it. I also asked for a wake up call at 430am. The wake up call happened at 5am. After the race I called and spoke to Amish explaining I was waiting on an Uber as it was 1145am. I had already cleaned out my room but just wanted a shower before turning in my keys. He stated no problem. When I arrived at the hotel at 1208pm there were attendants finishing cleaning my room and they had no idea of my requests. They had already thrown away my drinks in the fridge which I really wanted for after marathon recovery. They provided me a bottle water and allowed me to quickly shower, but I do not understand the urgency. I saw 3 other people checking in when I did, all running the same race I did. Other than that, this hotel was quiet and empty so honoring my requests should not have been difficult!

Decent place to stay. Breakfast offerings were so-so. Front desk staff was very friendly. Location close to downtown and Interstate.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained, and the bed was quite comfortable. Super convenient location. Would stay here again.

Front desk was very helpful and enthusiastic. Rooms are not well sound-proofed. I could easily hear conversations next door and in the hallway.

Enjoyed our quick stay and everyone was very nice!

Convenient location. Fair price. Very clean and quiet. Did not partake in the complementary breakfast, we were running late. Good experience overall.

The breakfast food was basic.

The toilet kept flushing all night, the shower was missing a 3” shower adapter, exhaust vent is making too much noise. Outside of building looking neglected.
