The Hampton Inn is located right next to a hospital. Ambulance sirens were disruptive all through the night. But the location was ideal. Walking distance to most major attractions.
-
I think the staff was the stand out here. We were lucky to meet Lynette who approached us with a gift and after a short conversation turned out to be a wealth of irreplaceable information. They are lucky to have her on their staff.

This is a nice hotel in an excellent location near the tourist attractions and high end shopping. The front desk might have been a little under staffed. The breakfast area and a seating area are on the second ("mezzanine") floor. The room was clean and modern. Most of my point off in the rating was due to the noise level. The AC unit was exceptionally loud and noise did carry easily from room to room. Breakfast was the usual for this type of hotel.

Lynette is so welcoming and friendly! The room was clean and perfect for our stay.
-
Excellent service. Every area was clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was top notch

Everything was very nice. The breakfast room could use new seating. Seats were very worn not in good shape.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn during a very busy week in Chicago. Upon arrival, I noticed the lobby was extremely hot. Once I checked into my room, I discovered the AC was not working. I requested another room, but they were sold out for the evening. I was offered a fan for my room. The room was very dated and the carpet was not clean. I went downstairs to grab a water from the market to find that almost all of the beverages were not stocked and there was no water. Some of the food was expired. I did not want to partake in breakfast due to the cleanliness. I was told I would get another room the next day and that did not happen. For the price, I expected a clean room and working AC. I was not offered anything for my inconvenience.

Room needed better lighting. SHower needed safety devices (e.g., grab bars)

La limpieza buena La atención variable La ubicación buena El desayuno no muy bueno

The location being so close to downtown and walking distance of everything. The pool was under construction and that wasn’t noted when booking. Cleaning services came every other day that also wasn’t noted when booking. I had issues with the valet parking and ended up being over charged for parking by $300 which is crazy. I also was charged a random $224 that the front desk lady had no idea where that charge came from. We found a bug on the bed and took a picture of it and showed the staff and was told it was just a hotel bug not a bed bug or a cockroach and told us not to worry about it. I’m not sure what a hotel bug is?

Not a clean facility. Room AC inadequate. Hotel advertised as having streaming TV. Not true. Hotel charges a premium rate due to its location. Not even remotely close to Hampton Inn standards that I've experienced previously.
-
Location was great for going to the hospital. Breakfast was good . Room was to close to the elevator so you could hear often sounded like you were by a busy highway. Also, the mattress was to soft.
-
The pool was not open, the reason why we chose this hotel.
-
Positives: breakfast is included, lots of food options. Location is great, in the middle of everything. Great views of downtown from your room. Seemed clean and bed was comfortable enough.
-
Maintenance of the room was fine since everything (plugs, ligths, safebox) worked. The beds are comfortable for seeping well. There are places to visit within walking distance. Breakfast is fine and have coffe all day. I have stayed there three times in the last two years, so I think I do not have important dislikes, otherwise, certainly I would remember them. Although the hotel is not cheap, I have found it appropiate.
-
Elevated takes ever . We had to walk down the stairs with our suitcases from floor 14th after waiting for the elevator 20 minutes
-
Parking was really expensive, which is to be expected in Chicago, but I had to wait well over 30 minutes for the valet to park my car. When trying to check out, the elevator would not stop on our floor so we had to hike down 14 flights of stairs.

Exceptional
-
This room was very nice and convenient to all of downtown. Checkin was easy. The $75 valet is a little crazy!
-
The breakfast was hot and tasted fine. I liked the location but we will not be coming back.
