Older hotel. Okay for a night.

The room was very hot when we got to it and took a long time to cool down. Overall Clean and served its purpose, park and fly works out great and the price is very affordable. Shuttle drivers are really nice, just be sure to bring cash to tip them. :)

Things were generally clean but room showed some aging. Toilet flushing wasn't the greatest but we made it work. Sink handle seemed like it could use some lubrication. Hotel generally ok.

So the staff was helpful and was able to upgrade us to a suite for an extra charge. The next room had a lingering smell. Even though the room was supposed to be smoke free, the best way to describe the smell was either cigarette smoke or some kind of musty/moldy condition (we couldn't see any). Even after trying to air it out twice, the smell persisted (we opened the windows for an extended time). On top of that, we were given the keys (they had to get it ready since we did an upgrade), and I was getting ready for a shower and the same guy that gave me the room, opened the door and was trying to come in. Not sure why, but he did not knock or anything, but kind of barged in. Until he noticed I was not fully clothed... The wireless connection (for a laptop) was bad. Really bad. First, there was no security, so literally anyone could connect to it and use the bandwidth... Second, it was super slow. Cell phone seemed to work ok, but I'm not sure if it was using the free wireless or my cell plan's 5G... Breaskfast wasn't good either. Eggs super salty along with the gravy (for biscuits and gravy). The biscuits were super hard as well. The staff (other than the guy trying to barge in) was nice and friendly, so that is a plus. Parking was pretty good as well.

Room was great. I have stayed here numerous times. First time eating the free breakfast. Not the best. Eggs were watery, and no bacon or sausage.

Clean room. Friendly staff and easy parking.

The location was near to Gray Lake. Great for a walk and relaxation. Lack of choices for breakfast.

Superb

Parking was easy and spacious, stayed in a non-smoking room and didn’t have a whiff of smoke at all. Can’t comment on breakfast as we chose to sleep in, but from 4am-10am the longest I’ve ever seen from a hotel which was awesome. Rooms were clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean as well. Staff was great needed an extra blanket for my girlfriend as i like to sleep cold and staff was fast and kind about it. Next time i come out to Iowa will definitely be staying there again!!
