I have absolutely no complaints and we would definitely stay again. I chose for the proximity to the cruise port. It was a very nice walk, even with our suitcases. The Lodge at Red Hook will be my go to for future across the pond visits.

The place was lovely and peaceful. I thought the breakfast could have been better, but the overall experience at the hotel was great.

Good location and perfect for a weekend in the city

My wife and I recently stayed at The Lodge Red Hook and had several issues during our visit. Upon check-in, we were assigned a basement room designated as accessible that was not clean. We requested to be moved to a different room and were told there would be an additional fee. At the front desk, staff appeared to be sleeping and were unresponsive when we asked for assistance. The next morning, breakfast service had changed from what was advertised. Instead of a hot breakfast, we were given cold pre-packaged items, and the milk provided was expired. We also noticed our credit card was charged more than the agreed rate without prior notice or explanation. When my wife called to address the overcharge and other concerns, she spoke with the assistant manager who was dismissive and unprofessional. I then spoke with him directly, and the interaction remained unprofessional on his part. Due to these issues with cleanliness, billing transparency, and customer service, I would not stay here again. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns so future guests have a better experience.

This stay at the Lodge Red hook was a bright spot at a very frustrating time in the city. Because of the NBA Finals and the World Cup the city was way overcrowded. The Lodge was an oasis of peace and the rooms are spacious! Xavier was very helpful and knowledgeable about all of the area’s best spots. Will stay here again

Everything was great!!

Clean room. Friendly staff . Very small bathroom with no space . Didn’t like the free breakfast . It was breakfast in a bag with things I don’t eat . Unhappy about breakfast . Gave mine away . Also had to pay extra for hotel parking .

Not a lot, only the location I vastly overpaid … indeed, i got screwed by Booking.com and the property. The $435 price I paid suggested it bordered on high end. In reality, it’s about mediocre Motel Six

The staff was accommodating to our schedule. We didn’t have any issues checking in or out. Room and common areas were well maintained. The Smith-9th St sub station is a 10-15 minute walk and never felt unsafe passing through at all hours. Will definitely come back to this hotel for future NYC trips.

the "breakfast" was a huge scam. we paid extra to get this nice breakfast buffet, but just got a dry "sandwich" if you could call it that, and some sugar items, no eggs or no buffet. We had to go out to get breakfast because it was inedible at the hotel. When complaining to the staff , they said they "hear it all the time", but still refused to give the money back. Also it was very noisy and impossible to sleep. This is the first bad review I ever left in my entire life fyi.

Price was really good. Room neat and Clean. Safe surrounding.
-
Absolutely nothing, completely overpriced and the place was filthy. Not suitable for people. Zero amenities, the front desk might as well not exist and there’s no actual security which is shocking given the hotel is surrounded by boarded up buildings for 4 blocks. Terrible smells, unclean bed sheets, the shower was disgusting, there was pubic hair on the toilet and ground when we arrived, the furniture was broken, the walls all had mystery splatters on them. For breakfast you had to journey into the basement which was out of a horror movie where you were given a bag of food from the back room which was inedible.

Great location for the cruise ship
