Ocean Beach Hotel

Fr I Pulled up like ahhh shoot, what did I do. Checked in and it turned out to be perfect. Looks older on outside but clean inside. Has everything you need. If you leave the windows open you can hear the waves from the beach at night. They have a small store that’s convenient and staff is very nice. 12 min about from the airport. I will definitely return when I come back to San Diego. I would recommend.

Amazing staff.

Very small standard rooms. Beds are comfortable but small. No counter space. The view was amazing but the constant airplanes flying over killed the vibe.

Great proximity to the dog beach but undoubtedly the noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. From a guy shredding a guitar across the street 2 feet clomping above us, it was not conducive to sleeping.

It was right on the beach and around the corner from the strip with restaurants and shops

Its ok, kinda expensive for what it is, but it was nice and everyone was cool. Like I said it was ok

Parking and in walking distance to everything

It was ok. Little old and NO elevator, but the staff did help us with our luggage. I think the main issue for me, personally, was it was right in the hot spot of the public beach area. If that's what you're looking for, you're in luck! But always tons of party people everywhere, noisy, bands, etc., parking can be a tad hard, small parking lot but they do try to keep enough spaces for those staying at the hotel. Quick walk to several restaurants, the beach and shopping spots, so great there. Bring your wall plug ins for charging device! Rooms were very small, but fine and seemed clean so that's a plus for sure.

One of the biggest issues was the room's curtains, which barely covered the windows. Combined with the exterior lights flickering throughout the night, the room never got dark enough to sleep comfortably. It made getting a good night's rest nearly impossible. While the hotel is located directly across from the beach, that was not the benefit I expected. The area around the beach felt unsafe and was heavily populated by homeless individuals. It was not a pleasant environment to walk around, especially for families with children. Overall, this hotel felt like a complete rip-off for the price. Between the basic accommodations, poor sleep conditions, and the surrounding area, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone—especially families traveling with kids.

Incredible staff, let us check in early since our flight got in early. Lovely location, 10/10!

Best spot in OB you can stay!!

Room was smaller than expected, especially the bathroom. Other than that, the room was nice, and the location was fantastic!

We had a fantastic stay at this Oceanside hotel. The property was well maintained, the front desk team was genuinely helpful, and the location couldn’t be better — right across the beach with plenty of restaurants and cafés just a short walk away. We never had to use our car, which made the trip feel like a real vacation. Relaxing, easy, and enjoyable. We’ll book this hotel again without a second thought.

The view and location were great! If you’re looking for a quiet weekend, this location may not be the best for you as the hotel has night life and music in the streets. We were looking to be within walking distance to the beach and a lot of the restaurants and such so was great for us. Keep in mind that this hotel does NOT have elevators. Hauling all of our luggage up to the third floor was a hassle but the view made it worth it

I think the hotel has a great view and a lot of access to the whole ocean beach area. Everything is very commutable by foot and there’s a lot of good bars and food options just around the hotel. Truthfully it’s not that far from downtown maybe a 20 minute drive depending on traffic. And the staff was very helpful in finding food options and things to do.

Very noisy. Squeaky pipes. Loud ac units on roof. Not worth the price

Clean room. Friendly staff. Good parking. Plenty of resturants nearby.
